The Congress President Rahul Gandhi, in a tweet, informed people about his meeting with the Twitter Co-founder and CEO Jack Dorsey. The Gandhi scion said that Jack Dorsey explained to him about the steps taken by Twitter to curb the menace of fake news. Jack should have met with some other credible person than Rahul Gandhi to discuss efforts to curb fake news. Rahul Gandhi and his party is one of the biggest sources of fake news in India. In his pursuit to prove that Rafale deal is scam, Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly contradicted himself.
Jack Dorsey, the Co Founder & CEO of Twitter dropped in to chat this morning. Twitter has grown into the most dominant “conversations” platform globally. Jack explained some of the steps being taken to keep those conversations healthy & to tackle the menace of fake news. @jack pic.twitter.com/TCkj6st4rl

To begin with, during No-Confidence motion debate, Rahul Gandhi converted Lok Sabha into entertainment sabha with his gaffes and lies. Firstly, he claimed that PM Modi during 2014 Lok Sabha election promised to deposit 15 lakh in the accounts of every individual of the country. This claim is absolutely false and bogus. Infact, PM Modi never made any such promises, it is just a myth created by the leftist-lutyens’ cabal to mislead the people of the country.
The second bogus lie told by Rahul Gandhi was about job creation. He made an absurd claim that Modi government provided only 400,000 jobs in their four years of rule, which is again complete nonsense at every level. In fact, job creation in the country is growing exponentially because of increase in the economic activities. As per the payroll data of the Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), 41.26 lakh new jobs were created during September 2017-April this year, with the first month of the current fiscal witnessing highest-ever addition of 6.85 lakh. According to International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), India now accounts for 20% of global jobs in renewable energy sector. Contrary to Rahul’s claims, jobs are growing at a substantial rate, all thanks to the government’s land and labour reforms .
The third baseless claim of Rahul Gandhi was against Jay Shah, son of Amit Shah. His charges against Jay Shah were baseless and he did not provide any proof to back any of his allegations. Amit Shah’s son filed a defamation case against the website which published a baseless story against him claiming that his company’s turnover showed an increase of 16,000 times in the year after Narendra Modi was elected as the Prime Minister.
Another baseless claim by Mr. Gandhi was about the Rafale scam, which is anything but a scam. He also asked why the government is not disclosing the details of the deal. Well, the answer to this is that, the Indian Government cannot disclose the costs due to the ‘Article-10’ of the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Government of India and Government of France on the purchase of Rafale aircraft. The protection of the classified information and material exchanged under IGA is governed by the provisions of the Security Agreement signed between the two nations in 2008, ironically under the Congress led UPA government. Congress, it appears not only trivializes and ignores national security but also has a tendency to forget the laws which were signed in its own rule for its own gains.
In September, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel statue being made by the BJP government to commemorate the contribution of the legendary leader to the nation is being built in China. This absurd lie was immediately debunked by spokespersons of the Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (L&T) which has been given the task to construct the statue. The L&T official statement read, “The entire statue itself is being built in India at the site and only the bronze cladding in the form of bronze plates is being sourced from China, which constitutes a negligible amount of less than 9% of the total value of project.”
In the same month, Rahul Gandhi claimed that a senior officer at the Ministry of Defence was punished by the central government for proclaiming dissent with the government’s take on Rafale deal. Rahul Gandhi and other Congress followers took this bait thrown by their party president and fell in the trap, using social media and other means to target anyone and everyone possible. Their lies however were laid to rest once again when the official who was supposedly ‘sent on a leave’ dismissed all the claims of a punishment being forced on him by the central government. He came out to speak to a news channel where he openly denied any ‘punishment’ being meted out to him, he clarified that he had gone on a vacation for a pre-planned study trip abroad.
With respect to Rafale deal has spread bundle of lies and fake news.

In October, MoS Dr. Jitendra Singh exposed Rahul Gandhi’s lies on undue favor to Reliance insurance.
In June, Congress Party had spread the fake news which claimed that records and documents associated to the investigation of Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi case were destroyed in the Scindia House fire in the Income Tax Office in Mumbai. Taking to Twitter, this time the Income Tax department itself exposed the hollowness of the claims of the Congress ecosystem.
In June, Rahul Gandhi had spread the fake news about defence corruption but like always it was also busted very quickly. The Defence Minister herself quashed this fake news.
In March, the Congress party also spread the fake news about a Dalit man being killed in Gujarat for keeping and riding a horse. However, the truth, which came out during police investigation, was completely different. The Police report stated that the youth was killed for harassing girls and not for keeping horse. The Police denied any sorts of caste angle in the incidence.
During the high voltage drama which erupted after the Karnataka assembly elections where the Congress spread the fake news and presented a fake audio tape claiming that BJP leaders approached to the wife of Congress MLA Shivram Hebbar and offered RS 15 crore cash and a cabinet seat to her husband if he voted for BJP in the floor test. The Congress party leader Hebbar himself busted this fake news “I learnt about the audio tapes of the conversation purportedly between my wife and BJP leaders later when I was in the assembly. This is neither my wife’s voice nor has she received any call. I condemn whoever has released such audio clippings for political reasons. This is a fake audio tape…”
Recently, while addressing a rally in Jhabua in Madhya Pradesh, Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that MP CM Shivraj Singh’s son was named in the Panama papers.
Reacting to the baseless allegations made by Rahul Gandhi, serving CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan asserted that law will take its course now. He tweeted, “Mr @RahulGandhi, you have been making patently false allegations of Vyapam to Panama Papers against me and my family. Tomorrow, I am filing a criminal defamation suit for maximum damages against you for frivolous and malafide statements. Let law take its own course now.”
It has become a habit of Rahul Gandhi to spread lies, nonsense and questionable information. It looks like Rahul Gandhi and Congress party has sworn to lie throughout the entire election campaign. Having said that, it is safe to conclude that Jack Dorsey has explained about the steps taken by his company to curb the menace of fake news to a person who is apostle of fake news.
