Smita Prakash gives back to fake news peddler Pratik Sinha in style

pratik sinha, smita prakash

Hardly had the buzz of the Twitter fight between NDTV journalist Nidhi Razdan and right winged Twitter user Vikas Pandey settled, when another fight between two media bigwigs emerged, and as usual, it was the left liberal who was at the receiving end of the criticism. It all began when senior editor from Asian News International [ANI], Smita Prakash, posted the following tweet:-

It was a completely innocuous tweet, concerned about the downfall in the executive – media relationship post the election of US President Donald Trump. But there is a popular trend of going extremely hoarse on PM Modi, irrespective of how much he has contributed to India’s growth in every aspect, as well as the hounding of those people who do not toe their line in terms of insulting or abusing PM Modi, and one of them is unfortunately a close confidante of AAP and the owner of the fake news peddling website ‘Alt News’, i.e. Pratik Sinha.

However, it seems that the left liberals love to create battles in mid air, and Pratik Sinha did just that, with the following tweet:-

Surprised, Smita replied coolly with the following tweet:-

But Pratik was far from over. He continued to bully her with the following tweet:-

As is notorious with left liberals, Pratik Sinha tried to connect Smita Prakash and her employer ANI with BJP IT cell in order to gain political leverage. However, Smita Prakash was made of sterner stuff, and she shot back unequivocally with this tweet:-

Unable to sustain this attack, Pratik Sinha turned personal, and started bullying, conveniently forgetting to put links of news other than his own website:-

However, Smita Prakash was no pushover. She landed the surprise bomb with this tweet:-

Even though Pratik Sinha tried to respond with this tweet, he found no takers at all. To top it all, a previous tweet of Smita Prakash was enough to leave many left liberals fuming, as she paraphrased Shashi Tharoor’s bombastic English to take a dig at such people with the following tweet:-

For starters, Pratik Sinha is no saintly soul. A notorious fake news peddler, his website, Alt News, is extremely notorious for peddling fake news in order to give their ‘masters’ a political edge.

Be it discrediting the account of a journalist who didn’t find Umar Khalid at the site when he was allegedly attacked with a pistol, or accusing army veteran and Republic journalist, Major [retired] Gaurav Arya of peddling ‘fake news’ on the violence against Gorkha protesters in Bengal, or trying to justify the anti national slogans raised in a Bihar rally [before their claims were busted by the Bihar DGP], you name it and Alt News has done it.

Their unofficial FB page, also known as ‘Unofficial: Subramanian Swamy’ is way more vicious when it comes to peddling fake news. In the run-up to Karnataka elections, they had published a fake image of BS Yedyurappa, the then BJP candidate, as celebrating the birth anniversary of Tipu Sultan, whereas he was just attending an Iftar party organized by some minority organizations.

They even published fake news of BJP approving 100% FDI in multi brand retail, whereas the actual decision for FDI came in single brand retail, and BJP’s status on multi brand retail is the same as in 2012, when they protested against the arbitrary imposition of multi brand retail FDI of more than 50%. As such, it is not entirely surprising that Pratik Sinha is a rabid Modi hater.

Curiously, his father, Mukul Sinha, was the same guy who was meticulously involved along with the left liberals in order to make a demon of PM Modi as he defended dreaded terrorist Pranesh Pillai, who had converted himself to Javed Sheikh, and was killed in an encounter along with LeT sleeper cell member Ishrat Jahan on the grounds of conspiring to assassinate the BJP top brass in 2004.

With that, Smita Prakash has sent out a strong message to those, who think that they can do anything with those who do not toe their line of hounding PM Modi and get away with it. On a lighter note, we do hope that Mr. Pratik Sinha has collected his stock of Burnol, since he won’t digest such insult so easily.
