The false narrative of ‘Brahminical Patriarchy’

Patriarchy, Hindu

PC: DNA india

Recent posts made by Jack Dorsey, the ‘Nose Pierced – Wannabe poster boy of freewill,’ and the CEO of twitter, not only convey us that he is hopping around in India, but also reveal the actual agenda of his tour. It is also quite evident from his posts that he has been shaking hands with a lot of such Indians who proclaim to be ‘Liberals.’ However, one such photograph of him flashing a placard with “Smash Brahmanism patriarchy” written on it, clicked alongside a bunch of women famous for their ‘Hindu hate’, has quite naturally acquired a colossal social outrage. The content being highly objectionable also assertively exposes the biased intent of the Twitter boss. First of all, ‘Brahmanism’, which they have attempted to popularize is an absolutely inappropriate and a meaningless word. By studying the ‘Evolution of English Grammar,’ it could be learnt that ‘isms’ are always dogmatic in nature, like how the word ‘Marxism and Maoism’ evolved after Karl Marx and Mao Zedong propagated their social theories. In this case, as ‘Brahman’ is neither a Dogma nor a propounded theory, thus the idea of ‘Brahmanism’ stands quashed. However, the divisive left propaganda has kept the world alive.

Millenniums before Marx and Mao’s birth and certainly very long before Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammad, Gautama Buddha and Bhagwan Mahaveera began to propagate their religious teachings it has to be accepted that the Universe was as existent as it is today. Original scholars from all across the globe have acknowledged the fact that the Hindu Civilization or the Indus-Valley civilization as they prefer to call, was the most vibrant and scientific civilization that has ever emerged on earth. The Hindu Civilization very strongly emerged with science and Spirituality as its prime pillars and they both were eventually submerged by various rishis, seers and sages and as a result, rich and enlightened philosophical knowledge ‘the Vedas’ were generated. However, up until few centuries prior to the current era, the Vedas were never documented but was passed from one generation to another in the form of Shruti only after which by amalgamating maximum available shrutis, the knowledge were scripted into ‘Smritis’. The sole purpose of the Vedas was to enlighten the mankind and show him the path towards ‘the Brahman’ or the Ultimate reality, the western civilization today calls it as ‘God’ while the Islamic Civilization terms it as ‘Allah.’

The Vedas, or any of its classification the Samhitas, the Aranyakas, the Brahmanas or the Upanishads have only discussed about ‘Brahman’ being the ultimate truth. The essence of all Upanishadic teachings is about realizing the Brahman, few of its Mahavakyas such as ‘Aham Brahmasmi – I am Brahma,’ ‘Ayam atma Brahma – the Self is a Brahman,’ ‘Tatvamasi – You are Brahman,’ ‘Sarvam Khalvidam Brahma – Everything is Brahman,’ further assert it to be so. However, the path and concept of realizing Brahman was perceived to be hard from a common man’s perspective, hence to simplify the process, few scholarly Hindu thinkers expounded the theory of saguna Brahman – the Brahman with attributes and Nirguna Brahman – without attributes, The nirguna Brahman is the Brahman as it really is, however, the saguna Brahman is posited as a means to realize nirguna Brahman. The success of the saguna Brahman can be found in the evolution and ascending popularity of the Bhakti tradition and Idol worship. All six schools of Hindu philosophies the Samkhya, the Yoga, the Uttara mimamsa, the Vaisheshika, the Nyaya, the Poorva mimamsa or the Vedanta, for which the Vedas stand as substratum, have evolved in pursuit to the same Cosmic truth while asserting that the Brahman as the only one Supreme being. All popular schools of Vedanta from Advaita to Dvaita and its founders from Shankaracharya to Madhwacharya have propounded ‘Brahman’ to be in synonym with the Supreme being. Neither of the Hindu philosophies nor the Hindu thinkers have ever tagged ‘Brahman’ with a certain identity of a Man or a group of living persons, or a community of people, but the contemporary ‘Indian left’ is attempting to distort this very fact.

As time marched ahead, the chaturvarna emerged quite naturally, the Spiritual seekers or those in the pursuit of Brahman were eventually identified as Brahmins, businessmen as Vysyas, civil servants as Kshatriyas and the other working class as the Shudras, It was just a natural evolution of societal classification based upon professions and not something which was then determined by birth. A person born to the Shudra, Vysya or Kshatriya parents had all the liberty to become a Brahmin and vice versa. It was very similar to how today an engineer’s son could opt for a career in medicine or a doctor’s daughter taking up the profession of a civil servant. No profession was considered superior or inferior, each had its own dignity. The spiritual seekers were naturally treated with more respect and dignity, primarily because of the personal sacrifices that involved in their pursuit. However, nobody can deny to the fact that this eventually led to a hierarchical distinction, but it is also true that it was only after the infiltration of materialist philosophies and consistent foreign invasion, that the societal discrimination in the Indian society grew which today is labelled as Castes. Caste system in India is a direct concomitant of conspiracy by the British, the word Caste was coined by the British and was derived from the Portuguese word Casta. Herbert Risley, the British officer institutionalized Caste by making it part of the census held during the British rule.  Over multiple censuses, identification of the caste became a common procedure due to which it became a matter of inheritance and soon one would be rigidly assigned to a caste right at birth. Caste-by-birth is a clear distortion of Hindu philosophy, idea and tradition.  However, today, consideration of being a Brahmin has lost its true philosophical and spiritual value thereby reducing it to a mere birth identity and by what validation, can this be termed as a dogmatic tradition or ‘Brahminism.’ If it is to be so, the rules for class struggle set by the Lenin, Marx, Stalin, Mao, Gramsci and Lukas – ‘Leftism’ has created more hierarchies in the world. Yes, Societal hierarchies do exist all across the globe. In the United States, the major split exists between the White supremacists and the African – Americans; In Europe it’s between the native Europeans and the Blacks; In the Gulf Countries, it’s between the Arabs and the Asians. And similarly, it exists in India too, however it is not between the so called ‘Brahmins’ and the Dalits as the left claims, but between the Inherently rich and the Inherently weaker sections, and it has to be accepted that India as a nation is unitedly fighting back and will triumph.

The feminine mask of the tukde-tukde Gang has attempted to smash Patriarchy using a poster and a foreigner to advocate it, all right, but why do they want to selectively smash. According to the Verse 2.18 of the Genesis – The God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him,’ According to 1 Timothy 2:12, the saint said, “I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, she must be silent.” According to 1 Timothy 2:13-15, Paul says, ‘Let women keep silence in the churches, for it is not permitted unto them to speak, and if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home,’ and almost all sacred texts of Christianity have thousands of such Patriarchal propagations, and Jack has not spoken a word.  Islamic societies have blatantly approved polygamy, Triple Talaq, and more such inhuman practices against women thereby upholding the patriarchal supremacy and twitter has never in its existence has ever questioned this. However, as Jack has already broadcasted his selective outrage, it is also his responsibility now to open up about his validation and approval on the worst kind of patriarchy existing in Islam and Christianity and thereby exhibit his courage by displaying similar placards with ‘Smash Biblical Patriarchy’ and ‘Smash Islamic Patriarchy’ written on it, which he won’t and will not be allowed to either.

The post incident drama has however exposed Jack’s ‘opportunist’ intention and the Indian left, which is on a high having caught a great fish in Jack Dorsey, will have to rework their next plan of action. Building a false narrative of ‘Brahminical patriarchy’ is one of the worst kinds of insult one can make not only against India as a nation but also against the deep philosophical value the Hindu Civilization has offered to the mankind, and by coining such a phrase, the left intends to falsely propagate that the patriarchy exists because of a certain Hindu community and generate social-hate against it. However, it is only because ‘the Hindu’ as a civilization exists fragile, that the ‘break India’ forces are able to ideate various possible illusionised ways to further weaken it. The left in India wants to not only retain but enhance the descending ‘divide’ in the society, for that, ‘anti-India and anti-Hindu’ narratives are always manufactured and for that they are also very well-funded. ‘Brahminical patriarchy’ is one such blatant effort.
