Ayodhya Diwali celebrations, precursor to the temple construction?

Diwali, Ayodhya, Ram Mandir

The Diwali celebrations in Ayodhya this year have been grand and on a never seen before scale. The presence of South Korean First Lady Kim-Jung Sook further added to the charm and enormity of the event held at the banks of Sarayu. The event is also going to make it to the Guinness Book of World Records for the one lakh diyas which were lit at the banks of River Sarayu. CM Yogi Adityanath who presided over the grand event also made a grand speech in which he bestowed many gifts to the people of Ayodhya.

The biggest gifts to Ayodhya and Hindus from all around the world would probably be the announcement that the upcoming airport in Ayodhya will be named as Purushottam Bhagwan Ram Airport. He also spoke that the new medical college will be called after Bhagwan Ram’s father Raja Dasharatha. The announcement of a grand new statue of Shri Ram have also been done by the UP CM after he made the reiterated the commitment of BJP to build the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya at the Diwali celebrations.

CM Yogi in his speech at the Diwali celebrations emphasized that the construction of temple at the Ram Janmbhoomi site was a non-negotiable demand. He also made clear that the construction of the temple would be done using the constitutional means available. CM Yogi said, “Ram Mandir is, was and will be in Ayodhya”. He added that the solution to Ram Mandir issue would be brought under the ambit of Constitution. These declarations regarding the Ram Mandir and statue are big ones coming from the UP CM. A firebrand leader from BJP, CM Yogi has quickly become the ruler of hearts of Hindus across India, his popularity even in the southern states has been soaring and his no-nonsense image has already made him a favourite in his home state. CM Yogi has been able to do what very few politicians have been able to in our country, he has been able to make religion and development go side by side. A commendable feat in itself. His decisions and announcements are not just people friendly but also take care of the greater good. Therefore, when the incumbent UP CM says that the Ram mandir will be constructed, it leaves little to doubt.

After the BJP and Rashtriya Swayam Sevak chiefs met at the ‘Mandir Manthan’ programme which was attended by the top brass of VHP, ABVP and other outfits the BJP as well, the centre’s stand on the issue is clear and precise. MP Rakesh Sinha has already made it clear that he would bring a private member’s bill seeking construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, in the upcoming winter session of the Parliament, which is scheduled to begin in December. The stand of the government both at the central and state level is a determined one and it is unlikely that anything can stop the government now from constructing what is so dear to the hearts of Hindus across the globe. This also makes one wonder whether the grand Diwali celebrations this year in Ayodhya were a precursor to the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya? It could very well be so, considering the importance that has been given to it, and will continue to be given under BJP. Ayodhya might very soon have to prepare for the Ram Mandir, this Diwali celebration has given them just the right preparations before the grand event. Jai Shri Ram.
