Online streaming site Netflix is likely to cancel the second season of its exclusive series Sacred Games after more than one people involved with the project have been accused of sexual harassment by female victims. Varun Grover the lead writer of the Netflix original series Sacred Games and Vikas Bahl, who was a part of the production company Phantom Films have both been accused of sexual misconduct. The #Metoo campaign has already shaken the ground beneath AIB which led to the unceremonious exit of Tanmay Bhat and Gursimran Khamba from the organisation. AIB also received another blow from online streaming platform Hotstar which cancelled the production of On Air with AIB Season 3. Netflix too is likely to follow the course taken by Hotstar in order to save its image and show solidarity with the females who have been at the receiving end of sexual misconduct.
Netflix is a major player in the digital entertainment section and has made its entry into the Indian market a bit late. The site has variety of content and is now focusing on adding India-specific content in vernacular languages to its content section. The first season of Sacred Games was a huge success in India even after its subtle anti-Hindu and left driven narrative. Thanks to Varun Grover and Anurag Kashyap, the 8 episode series also had very subtly tried to present India and specifically Mumbai in the way the foreigners want India to be seen. Corruption and unethical behavior in every walk of life in the country and portrayal of Hindus as two faced men, immoral policemen and unethical politicians too had been carried out very subtly to spread the propaganda of the left liberal cabal which Varun Grover represents in real life. Another popular series named Ghoul which was yet again co-produced by Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl founded Phantom Films too had a clear cut anti-nation and anti-Hindu narrative which ran throughout the length of the series. The platforms were being used by the left-liberals to feed ideas into the minds of the young in India, ideas which would make them doubt their country and religion.
The onus of proving that Netflix cares and stands with the victims of sexual misconduct now rests with them, it is up to the online streaming site to decide whether it will let sexual predators sell their goods and propaganda using its platform or not. Netflix will enjoy the support of the masses if it decides to altogether scrap Sacred Games, Ghoul and any other projects which it has planned for the future with Phantom Films. Anurag Kashyap too had been an accomplice of the sexual misconduct by not reporting the sexual misconduct done by his partner at Phantom Films, Vikas Bahl. Now while the whole lot claims to be carriers of the flag of liberalism and feminists in the country their actions speak differently. Scrapping the Sacred Games series will be a justified response to members of the cabal who have been preaching too long without practicing their ethics and morals. People also will get to see the real face of the liberals who are hailed as youth icons today and are capable of influencing the youth with their talks and shows, so much for the left-liberal brand of social justice.
