Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has done commendable work in improving the state for its residents through his political reforms and strict stance on dealing with the nefarious elements of the society. The state of UP is now preparing to host the prestigious Kumbh Mela which is scheduled to be held in 2019. Preparations are in full swing for the largest gathering of people in the world to be managed in a proper and effective manner. Care is being taken so that the people have to face minimum difficulties in what could possibly be the holiest of the holy gatherings for atleast 3 to 4 crore Hindus from the country and abroad. The budget of the Kumbh Mela to be held in 2019 has been set at Rs 4,200 crore which makes it the biggest and costliest affair to take place. The UP government has sent invitations to prestigious institutes from India and abroad which includes Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford and IIMs from India to research on the preparations of Kumbh Mela.
Universities like Columbia, Princeton and Yale have also been sent letters of invitation to attend the invitation which will be held in 2019. The UP government led by Yogi Adityanath is planning to make improvements based on the research which is conducted by these groups and their suggestions could help improve the management. The research conducted by the universities will include detailed study of mythological importance, impact on economy, gender issues, infrastructure development and history etc. The Kumbh Mela could easily be called one of the biggest gathering of humans in the world, Allahabad the place where the Kumbh Mela is held will host the event for a total of 50 days beginning from 14th January to 4th of March.
Yogi Adityanath government wants to leave no stone unturned to make the already special event a grand celebration with minimum difficulties to the millions of devotees who will arrive for the Kumbh Mela. The results of the research conducted by the universities will make it easy for the government to provide facilities to the numerous male and female devotees. The site of the Kumbh Mela will also have stalls for publicizing some of the most successful schemes of the central government such as Swacch Bharat, Ayushman Bharat, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana amongst others. 28 departments of the state government have been asked to manage the event in co-ordination with six central ministries.
The grand scale of the Kumbh Mela can be ascertained from the fact that as many as 12 crore visitors are estimated to visit Allahabad in UP in a period of just 50 days from India and abroad. The Sangam is likely to have at least 20 lakh people taking a dip every hour during the Kumbh is in progress. It is therefore very important to take in advice from the universities in order to understand the nitty gritties of the situation. The people of UP too have risen up above religion and caste to help the UP government in preparing for the Kumbh Mela. Muslims from Allahabad had demolished parts of mosques which were creating an obstacle in the road widening process for the Kumbh Mela.
