AIB Case – Do Liberals have no accountability or responsibility?

Ever since the case of ex core member of AIB being involved in sexual harassment cropped up, it has opened a can of worms from the ‘woke feminist’ brigade. Triggering a spate of #Metoo cases, where victims exposed the malice behind some of the most celebrated names, be it from the media, or cinema, or even the literature genre.

However, if there is one thing this case has done well in revealing, it is the dark, ugly side of the otherwise ‘enlightened and progressive liberal brigade’ of the country. We need no introduction to their code of silence they abide to in such cases.

However, instead of accepting that in cases where their own are accused or later found guilty of crimes they’d otherwise howl about if the perpetrator is not from their league. Leaving aside the legendary cases who make the scapegoat out of the right wingers, their textbook style treatment of such cases begins with invoking the society as a culprit, as tweeted by such wise souls:-

Such liberals will leave no stone unturned in order to defend their colleagues accused in the state, as visible in the classic case of Shashi Tharoor, or even our very own Gurmehar Kaur shamelessly defending Shamir Reuben, accused on the same grounds as the AIB member Utsav Chakraborty. Also, as reflected in the following tweet, instead of pressing for strict action against the culprits, the so called liberals want a debate? Is this the best you can come up with?

To be honest, how will passing the buck on the society eliminate the blot of nurturing such sick minds? Surprisingly, these very liberals would go hammer and tongs after the perpetrator if the accused comes from either a nationalist dominating state or holds allegiance to anything other than the left wing diktats.

People like Kunal Kamra or Swara Bhasker should be the last people on earth to use the society card for shirking responsibility. Even though the statement reeked of hypocrisy, and was too late for any redemption, at least Anurag Kashyap had enough shame to accept the fault in the case of Vikas Bahl being accused of sexual assault.. Can we expect that from all?

Now being dead silent or passing the buck will only reduce the credibility they once had. Interestingly, Sonam Kapoor, who wouldn’t refrain from shaming an entire religion just for the sake of promoting her movie, would post this when faced with tough questions. If this is not hypocrisy, what is it?

The spate of sexual harassment/assault cases also expose the brutal reality of these liberals, who want no accountability for  themselves, and would do anything to shield their brethren from certain prosecution, even if they’re actually at fault. But for how long?
