In a befitting reply to the prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga has sent him a mirror. Imran Khan had recently crossed his limits and had referred to Prime Minister Modi as a small man occupying a big office. This had irked many in India and now Bagga has sent him a fitting reply.
Tajinder Bagga tweeted a screenshot of the booked mirror to Imran Khan and stated that he is sending this mirror so that Imran Khan sees his face before calling anyone small. Having shown Imran Khan his place and his negligible status when compared to Prime Minister Modi who is a globally respected leader, Tajinder Bagga proceeded towards reiterating the miserable state Pakistan is in. The BJP leader made it clear that the prime minister of a country like Pakistan which has been surviving on alms from the US has no right to refer to others as “small people”.

Prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan had made an objectionable remark about Prime Minister Modi in his tweet after foreign minister level talks between the two countries were cancelled. Earlier, Imran Khan had written a letter to Prime Minister Modi requesting resumption of peace dialogue between the two countries. He even promised that Pakistan is ready to discuss the issue of terrorism. However, after Pakistan issued postage stamps commemorating slain Kashmiri terrorists as freedom fighters and mercilessly tortured a BSF soldier to death, India was constrained to cancel the talks. Thereafter, instead of apologising, Imran Khan went on to make contemptuous statements about India and Prime Minister Modi.
Tajinder Bagga has not taken the Pakistanis to task for the first time. Earlier, he had sent footwear to Pakistan’s High Commission in Delhi after the terrorist country had refused to return the shoes of the wife of Kulbhushan Jadhav. Pakistani authorities had at that time claimed that they had found a metal chip in the shoes of Jadhav’s wife. Jadhav’s wife had travelled to Islamabad in order to meet Jadhav. This move was highly insensitive and disgraceful on the part of Pakistan. However, Tajinder Bagga was able to find a way of protesting this insensitive step taken by the Pakistani authorities. Following Bagga’s act of sending footwear to Pakistan’s High Commissioner, hundreds of twitter followers had also started sending shoes to the Pakistan High Commission in order to protest how Jadhav’s wife and mother were mistreated by Pakistan.
Tajinder Bagga, a Delhi BJP spokesperson has clear views on a range of issues like urban links of naxals. He is someone who does not believe in mincing words and is therefore, unapologetic, politically incorrect, unconventional and yet effective in nature. This bold move of sending a mirror to Imran Khan stands testimony to his wit and presence of mind.
