Rahul Gandhi to undertake Kailash Mansarovar yatra soon

rahul gandhi, mansarovar

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra has rightly called Rahul Gandhi an “Icchadhari Hindu”. The Congress President Rahul Gandhi after saying that he does not believe in any kind of Hindutva is now Hindu once again. Rahul Gandhi is likely to embark on his Mansarovar yatra on September 1. Gandhi scion is expected to leave on August 31 and commence his pilgrimage the next day.

Rahul’s Mansarovar pilgrimage is certainly an interesting development.

The Congress President had spoken about his desire to undertake Kailash Mansarovar Yatra during the Karnataka assembly elections and on 29 April, he had announced it at Ramleela Maidan in the national capital at party’s ‘Jan Aakrosh’ rally. At the rally he had said, “A few days ago, we were on our way to Karnataka in an aircraft. And the aircraft suddenly came down by 8,000 ft. I thought ‘gaadi gayi’ (it was all over).” He further added, “The moment I thought that it was all over, it struck my mind that I have to go to Kailash Mansarovar. So, I would require your leave of 10-15 days after the Karnataka Assembly polls.”

His pilgrimage is coming at a time when his temple runs, which started with Gujarat election campaign and continued in Karnataka assembly elections, are the talk of the town. While Congress leaders claimed Rahul Gandhi is a devoted Shiv Bhakt and a Janeu-dhaari Hindu, political circles maintained that it’s all just a political stunt in order to dilute the tag of Congress being “pro-Muslim” party. Rahul Gandhi proved the opposition right when a statement surfaced on social media claiming the Gandhi scion said that the Congress is a Muslim party. This statement of Rahul Gandhi disappointed his cheerleaders a lot as their attempts to portray Rahul Gandhi as pro-Hindu leader went in vain. The disappointed cheerleaders were ready to endorse his so-called ‘Soft-Hindutva’ as a ‘necessary evil’ for a bigger cause that is to defeat PM Modi in the 2019 general elections.

As 2019 general elections are around the corner, the cabal is once again trying to portray a “soft-Hindutva” image of Rahul Gandhi. According to political analysts, in the upcoming 2019 general elections and before that assembly election in four states- Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram- the Congress could experiment with soft-Hindutva.

According to a Dainik Bhaskar report, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in January had asked the party’s state units of Rajasthan, Karnataka and of many other states to prepare a list of temples which Rahul Gandhi could visit to gain political clout during election season. In Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi had visited over 27 temples during the state assembly election campaign. During the Karnataka assembly elections also, Gandhi scion visited famous Hindu temples such as Shringeri Sharadamba Temple in Chikmagalur district and Dodda Ganapathi temple at Basavanagudi in Bengaluru.

Now, it would be interesting to see whether Rahul Gandhi will return (if he goes at all) from the holy Kailash Mansarovar as a changed, dharmic man or he will continue to spread adharmic agendas like Hindu terror. It is no hidden secret that the Congress leaders, right from the president to the foot soldiers have an inherent dislike towards Hinduism. As per Wikileaks cables, Rahul Gandhi told US Ambassador Timothy Roamer that radicalized Hindu groups pose a bigger threat to India as compared to radical Islamist Pakistani groups. Rahul Gandhi went on to say that although there are evidences of some radical youth joining LeT, the number of youth joining radical Hindu organizations are more and hence this is a bigger threat to the country. Its leaders coined and peddled terms like ‘Hindu Terror’. Its senior leader talks about India becoming a Hindu Pakistan. Just few days ago, Congress leader Hussain Dalwai insulted Bhagwan Ram and Mata Sita. Not just insult, in the past, its leader had gone to the extent of questioning the existence of Bhagwan Ram. It is because of the policies of the Congress, along with the other secular parties, that the Hindus had started feeling like second class citizens in their own country. And this is one of the reasons why Congress party was thrown out of the power in 2014 and if all goes well then we would surely witness a 2014 like episode in 2019 again.
