For a change let’s not blame Rahul Gandhi for the frequent gaffes, blame the way he was brought up

Rahul Congress Karnataka, Election ashish kulkarni Congress dynasty

So why does Rahul Gandhi commit so many frequent gaffes? What causes him to fumble so much? Where on earth does he come up with such absurd metaphors and examples that leaves everyone in splits. Rahul Gandhi is entertaining for his tongue slips way more than it should but it’s not Rahul Gandhi who is at fault here. There is a bigger reason behind it.

Go to a slum and pick a random man. Drape him in expensive clothes and make him sit on a dining table whose elitist occupants feast on Iranian Beluga caviars and expensive wines. Ask the poor man to gel with the crowd, eat in silverwares with the aid of cutleries. Ask him to speak in polished English and discuss world politics, art and culture with the crowd. Will the poor just-picked-from-a-slum guy be able to do justice to his new role? The answer is a big resounding no. He will get there but it will need years of practice, learning and motivation to wine and dine with the elites. Rahul Gandhi is the same guy, the only difference is that he has been picked from an elite dining table overflowing with foods and wines and has been asked to gel with the middle class, the poor class and the deprived classes of India. And the result is a flurry of slip-of-tongues and gaffes.

The Congress President Rahul Gandhi is the fourth-generation politician of the Nehru-Gandhi family. He studied in some of India’s most prestigious schools- St. Columbus School in Delhi, and Doon School in Dehradun. After completing his schooling, Rahul Gandhi joined the prestigious St. Stephens College of Delhi University in 1989. But he studied there only for a year, after that he moved to Rollins College, UK. There he studied international relations and philosophy under the name of Raul Vinci for some security reasons. Rahul Gandhi received his MPhil degree from Cambridge University’s Trinity College, UK, in 1995. Thereafter, he worked for the management consulting firm, Monitor Group, in London for three years and later in 2002 he returned to India and started his own strategy consultancy in Mumbai. He made his political debut in 2004.

As it is clearly evident from the aforementioned information that the Congress President Rahul Gandhi was born with the proverbial silver spoon. He attended the most prestigious schools of India and distinguished universities of the world. He can never understand what it is like studying in government schools and government colleges of India. He hardly has any idea about the ground realities and he is completely unaware about the problems faced by common folks in their everyday life. The man who famously flashed his torn Kurta can never identify with people who actually wear torn Kurtas. That potatoes are grown in factories and Pakodas are cooked in a pressure cooker are nothing but a reflection of his lack of awareness that comes from practical experience.

A normal person would google for days, compare different models, their specs and technologies before deciding to buy a new phone hence would absolutely be sure about different phone companies and models. Rahul Gandhi displayed his profound knowledge about Indian Public Sector Units as well when he asked why PM Modi does not buy Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) mobile phones. This clearly illustrates that he probably doesn’t buy his own phones either.

A PM aspirant that can’t even differentiate between Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and BHEL is a recipe for disaster. It’s because of Rahul Gandhi’s lack of basic general awareness that under his leadership, the party has undergone a great fall. Another problem with Rahul Gandhi is that he probably thinks in English and translates it realtime in Hindi leading to statements that don’t make much sense. “Pradhan Mantri meri aankhon me apni aankhein nahi daal sakte (The PM can’t look me in the eyes)” is a great example of it.

So, for a change, let’s not blame Rahul Gandhi. Blame the Congress toadies for it. Rahul Gandhi is only trying to fit on a table he doesn’t belong to and was never trained for.
