India is a country of hidden talents, there are some TV shows and other platforms which work in the direction of providing wings to these talents hidden in the hearts of our country. But, sadly talent hunt shows are very less in number and due to lack of opportunities the talent in people usually dies.

However, with the rise of internet and technology social media has given a huge platform to showcase people’s talent to the world. Just few days ago, 46 year old Professor Sanjeev Srivastava of Madhya Pradesh became an overnight internet sensation when his dance video went viral on social media. Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan also appreciated the dance moves of the 46 year old professor.

In this era of advanced technology a lot can be achieved when talent meets with technology. With the help of social media people are getting a platform to showcase their talent. They are also being able to connect with their audiences to get feedback of their work. Recently, Kaushal Nishad an egg seller from Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh has become a YouTube sensation over the past six months. Youtube gave a platform to sing to the 22-year-old class VIII dropout, Kaushal Nishad. Till now, his singing videos have been viewed by nearly 5 lakh users on YouTube.

His friends and fans calls him ‘poor man’s Mohammed Rafi’. His YouTube Channel comment section is filled with people appreciating his melodious voice. After his video went viral, now he gets invited in local events to perform. Recently in an interview he said, “Due to my growing popularity, people have also started buying more eggs.” Earlier, Kaushal Nishad used to earn around Rs 300-600 every day by selling eggs but after his video went viral, he gets invited to sing at events where he earns around Rs 1,000-2,000. Kaushal Nishad said he learned singing just by listening to the songs of Mohammed Rafi and Kumar Sanu.

He further said, “I used to wash dishes at a small hotel for Rs 20 a day. YouTube has really changed my life. I even have a channel named Nishad music Bhojpuri today. With time, I have learnt that god has a plan for every one of us.”

His brother Anil said, “When Kaushal brought me a second hand android phone, I was ecstatic. My brother was only an egg-seller for everyone but I knew his hidden talent and wanted the entire world to know about it. We now receive calls from different parts of the country and abroad.”

These examples are enough to agree with the fact that a lot can be achieved these days with technology. If you can dream it, you can achieve it. If technology is properly utilized it can change lives. Technology not only make people’s life easier but it can also make people self-dependent.
