Water war continues in Delhi, Kejriwal busy with his AC Dharna

water, kejriwal

It is often said that the third world war would happen because of water. The way Delhi government is managing water related problems it looks like the third world war might start from Delhi. Already three people lost their lives in water fights in Delhi but the larger than life Chief Minister of Delhi is doing publicity stunt at Lieutenant Governor’s house.

Water wars are causing havoc in Delhi’s colony and the Delhi government is paying no heed towards this serious problem . Instead Chief Minister is busy with his monkey tricks and sound sleep on the governor’s sofa.  News of murder over water in New Delhi’s Sangam Vihar shocked everyone except CM Kejriwal. For Kejriwal doing high-profile hunger strike in a AC room is more important than solving the Delhi water issue. The problem is exacerbating day by day. In Sangam Vihar, 48 year old Kishan was shot by a neighbour over water. Arguments over water were not new to Kishan’s family but this things went from bad to worst. Kishan’s wife told cops that , ” We kept asking them not to hit us, but none of them stopped and they killed my husband in front of me”. Victim’s daughter said, ” We kept pleading everybody to stop the fight, but they not only killed my father but also shot my brother.” There have been many complaints and protests over the water in this area but alas they all fallen into deaf ears. Delhi government’s negligence has cost another life.

Not just Sangam Vihar, in other areas of Delhi like Khanpur, Devli, Neb Serai, Jaitpur, Okhla, Tughlaqabad , water taps are running dry. Many other areas like Greater Kailash Part II, Karol Bagh, Patel Nagar etc is being provided with dirty water in their taps.

Delhi government has employed water tankers to overcome the water issue but it has been seen that as soon as a tanker arrives, situation turn hostile, people fight for each and every single drop of water.

Kejriwal is not ready to pay any attention to the problem which Delhites are facing. Instead he threatened to give up water if anyone forced him to break his hunger strike.

For him his ego satisfaction is more important than the lives of the people. The opposition parties are also supporting Kejriwal in his drama.

The shocking thing is that there are many journalists who are also supporting Kejriwal . Dear Delhi Chief Minister, remember the people who suffer in the long term because of your short-term battles are innocent common folks of Delhi, toiling through a blazing summer with power and water shortages. You must answer the higher calling of your service.

It is high time that Chief Minister stops his dramebazi.  Instead they should open their eyes to the scarcity of water.
