The fact that Delhi’s current CM, Arvind Kejriwal has been reduced to a laughing stock is hidden from none. His latest drama of occupying the office premises of the current Lt. Governor of Delhi NCR, Shri Anil Baijal, is more hilarious than worrisome given the flimsy excuses he has given in the name of continuing the strike. As of now, none of the four dissenters are ready to budge and are continuing an alleged hunger strike to get their demands heard by the Lt. Governor.
According to the dissenters led by India’s ‘Most Promising CM’, the bureaucracy in Delhi Government, on the alleged orders of the Lt. Governor and PM Modi’s NDA government, have resorted to a mass strike and are refusing to cooperate with the incumbent Delhi Government. In order to deal with the miscreants, CM Kejriwal and his trusted coterie wanted to have a meeting with the Lt. Governor and now, they aren’t being allowed as such.
Probably that is why an adamant Kejriwal has declared that until and unless the PM and the Lt. Governor don’t annul the strike of the ‘bureaucracy’ and take strict action against the offenders, he won’t end his hunger strike.
If that is all, let us tell you something more. Now CM Kejriwal is accusing the Lt. Governor of keeping his group ‘hostage’ [we’re seriously not kidding] in the office premises, and are not being allowed to meet his relatives, an absurd theory that has also been seconded by Sunita Kejriwal, CM Kejriwal’s wife and the latest entrant to the legendary clan of AAP conspiracy theorists.
While everyone knows that the theory of the bureaucracy going on strike is completely false, one cannot blame them for refusing to cooperate with the current AAP government, owing to their unpleasant experiences from the past. Contrary to what people might perceive, the Lt. Governor has come out clean, accusing Kejriwal of wrongfully occupying his office premises for peddling his petty agenda.
Need we remind you of the thrashing the Principal Secretary to the CM received at the hands of Kejriwal’s trusted henchmen, just because he refused to toe their line? But one revelation that came in the nick of time completely exposed the charade CM Kejriwal and his yes men are doing in the name of dissent.
According to the recent medical checkup reports, one of the ministers on strike, Satyendra Jain, has considerably gained weight during the apparent hunger strike by a whopping 1.2 kgs. Yes, instead of losing weight which is quite natural during a hunger strike, Satyendra Jain has instead gained weight, in what would put even the likes of Kanhaiyya Kumar and Umar Khalid’s dramatics to shame.
Needless to say, some questions strike hard : Does AAP fast only for media coverage? Have they taken us for fools? Or are the dissenters so righteous that the Almighty has bestowed them with extra kilos for sustaining the ordeal of the hunger strike?
Curiously, the main accused in this drama is Satyendra Jain, now doesn’t that ring some bells? Of course it does for it is the same Satyendra Jain who is not only the Health Minister in the current AAP Cabinet but is also under the scanner by the national investigative agencies for allegedly involving himself in fraudulent land deals, with the blessings of CM Kejriwal.
Not surprisingly, CM Kejriwal stood solid as a rock behind the corrupt minister, and despite glaring evidence being flashed on his face to the contrary, not only exonerated him, but also counter attacked the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for playing dirty accusing him of minting millions as DDCA President. As a result of which, Mr. Jaitley dragged him to the court, following which Kejriwal had to humiliatingly issue an apology to avoid being prosecuted. Going by the current incident, it looks like Kejriwal has hardly learnt anything from such disastrous experiences.
With the charade of Satyendra Jain being royally exposed and laughed about, one tends to think : how much more will this bunch of charlatans continue to dupe this nation? How much more will the hapless citizens of Delhi continue to suffer for voting them to power? CM Kejriwal cannot take the patience of Delhi’s masses for granted. If they reply, they’ll do it in a pretty unpalatable way, as evidenced in 2014.
