It seems that Kerala is fast degenerating into an extremist Communist state. The communist regime in the state has taken firm control of every state institution in a characteristic communist manner and is trying to ideologically hijack the entire state. In a blatant manifestation of the communist government’s dictatorial and anti-Hindu tendencies, a government school has issued a bizarre diktat.
Principal of the concerned government school in the Palakkad district of Kerala has issued circular, threatening students against wearing kumkum and sacred threats. The principal who seems to be epitomising communist fascism, said that wearing kumkum and sacred threats will result in expulsion from the school.
The principal further issued a warning to the parents of the students stating that no such religious symbols would be tolerated in the government school. The parents of the students seem to be stunned and aghast by this bizarre diktat. They say that their kids are studying in sub-junior standards like class 1 and 2. In such circumstances it is beyond comprehension why communal agenda in education is being pursued by the principal and that too in a government school which has no links to any religious trust. It appears from what the parents have stated, that the principal was used to issuing such absurd diktats on a regular basis but now he has crossed all limits by issuing an official circular threatening to expel the children and deny them their basic right to education solely because of his radical ideology.

Rahul Easwar, an activist, told Mirror Now that this was a classic case of abuse of power in which the principal was enforcing his own version of discipline. He further stated that India is a country where diversity was celebrated and such acts would only hamper the kids’ growth. The principal, however, seems to be living in a world of his own and is adamant on not being answerable or accountable. He neither allowed media persons nor did he give any answers to the queries posted by Mirror Now.
This unfortunate and blatantly anti-Hindu incident should not be seen as merely an individual trying to enforce his will upon the students of his school. This is a case of a government appointed school principal trying to stifle the choice of young citizens of the state in order to appease the communist government. It is well known that the communists in India are extremely prejudiced against Hinduism. While they claim to be staunch atheists, they usually spew venom exclusively against Hinduism and symbols associated with it in the Indian context. It is also common knowledge that the communist governments target young minds in an attempt to mislead them and inculcate the communist ideology.
However, the communists must understand that notwithstanding their staunch ideology, it is the Constitution of India and its philosophy which will prevail. It is their problem if their minds are clouded by anti-Hindu sentiments, bigotry and Nazi-like tendencies. The Hindus including the school kids have a right to freedom of speech and expression, like any other citizen, which cannot be taken away lightly. It is only subject to reasonable restrictions and public interest and not to the whims and fancies of a government. Equally important is the right of religious freedom which is a cherished fundamental right and it is unacceptable how it has been impinged by the Kerala government school principal in the most ruthless manner. This is also a clear denial of the basic minimum education by the government on flimsy grounds. This has out rightly exposed the Kerala government’s extremist anti-Hindu communist agenda. One hopes that the Kerala government is dragged to court and publicly embarrassed over this sensitive issue.
