Right after the news broke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi being threatened by Maoist, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis confirmed that he along with his family has also received threats.  CM Devendra Fadnavis told reporters that he has received two threat letters, allegedly from Maoist organisations. Both the letters mention about anti-Maoist operation in Gadchiroli in which 37 Maoists were killed. The letter says anti-Maoist operation of Gadchiroli would be paid back. CM Fadnavis has handed both the letters to the police for further investigation.

Maharashtra has been one of the states where Maoist were working smoothly. In a twist of events, since the Devendra Fadnavis government came to power, he left no stone unturned to remove the cancer called Maoism. CM Fadnavis has heavily crackdown these terrorist.

The Gadchiroli has become one of the most celebrated anti-Maoist operation in the country. Maharashtra police successfully hunted down 37 Maoists. Many Maoists have also surrendered  in the region. In the year 2017, 19 naxals were killed in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. Modi government has clamped down on Naxalism in a big way. They are not just killing naxalites in big number but also stopped their funding. PM Modi regime targeted and started eliminating both the urban naxals and naxals living in forest. This probably has rattled them and that’s why they are now using dalits as a political pawn to wage war against the state. Bhima-Koregaon incidence is one such example where Dalit emotions and sentiments were used to create a civil war like situation in Maharashtra.

After the Bhima-Koregaon violence, agencies have been investigating the origin and motive of the violence and who is behind it. In their investigation Maharashtra Police found that Maoist along with anti-Modi forces are behind the violence. Maharashtra police arrested top five alleged Urban Naxal operatives. The police in its investigation also found documents which showed links between the Congress and the Maoists, Jignesh Mewani and Prakash Ambedkar were conduits. In the most shocking revelation, it has been found that naxals were planning to assassinate PM Modi in a Rajiv Gandhi type of assassination by targeting PM Modi’s road-shows. Rajiv Gandhi was killed in 1991 by a suicide bomber. The letter says, “Modi has successfully established BJP government in more than 15 states.. if this pace continues, then it would mean immense trouble for the Maoist party on all fronts.”

PM Modi and Devendra Fadnavis clamped down heavily on the powerful forces who enjoyed political patronage under previous regimes. As of now they are getting exposed with each passing day, so they have started giving threats for retribution. But their hollow threats are not going to make any difference. Fadnavis is a brave man who is dedicated to his motherland. No matter what happens he will keep eliminating all the enemies of his motherland.
