Rahul Gandhi has seriously put into question the relevance of the Congress party on the Indian political scenario. Having lost in various state elections and effectively becoming the B team in Karnataka, no Congress leader is left who can attract voters. Especially the Congress Party President Rahul Gandhi himself. After failing to earn the trust of the Congress leaders who are running away from the Congress party in large numbers, the living legend has also failed acceptability from the people. His rallies in New Delhi and everywhere else hardly ever get a full house audience, he lacks the coherence in speech needed to pacify the people, the charm of being from the Nehru Gandhi family too has waned with time. Rahul Gandhi is not able to pull off the charm of his surname. Rather than facing rejection Rahul Gandhi and Congress are facing a state of apathy, where people suddenly do not want to hear or discuss anything with them. These talks had been going on in small circles and in social media since years, but the stamp of authority has started coming from inside the INC in recent times. Rahul Gandhi is soon going to attend a rally in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh.
“Show your might. Let those who got more people to Rahulji’s rally get tickets; those who fail to do so will understand why they did not”, these are the words of All India Congress Committee secretary and MP in-charge Sanjay Kapur. Published in an article on the Times of India, the statement shows what the Congress workers and leaders have to do in order to get tickets. This also shows how the few people who arrive in Rahul Gandhi’s rallies are arranged. For a rally which is going to be held in memory of the death of five farmers last year, Rahul Gandhi and Congress need workers to mobilise people. The INC leaders aspiring to get tickets in the upcoming assembly elections will have to resort to any means to get the maximum number of people at his rally. Sanjay Kapur’s contest is an approval on the miserable state of INC in the country. INC leaders should listen more to their ground workers and less to the core Nehru-Gandhi central command if they want to save INC from an early wipe-out.
MP in-charge opened this contest for all Congress leaders who had arrived with the hope of getting a ticket from Mandsaur, Ratlam, Neemuch and Ujjain on Thursday. INC and its desperation to make Rahul Gandhi a PM candidate will drag them further down the drain. Sanjay Kapur and other leaders will keep trying and failing at attracting large crowds at the rallies of Congress’s ‘prodigy’. It would have been much better if INC could have focused this much attention on some other candidate, that would have made them a much stronger opposition on the national front. Rahul Gandhi won’t leave his ambitions now and Congress will not let him do the same, both of these have proven time and again. Despite failing multiple time Congress leaders still hail Rahul as their hope and this exact behavior will lead towards misery for the Congress.
