It is not sensational news anymore that Pakistan actively indulges in supporting and financing terrorist groups. So many charges have been levied on the failed state of Pakistan that it has perhaps stopped caring about fresh allegations. Just like governments in Pakistan have accepted that they are second grade authority when it comes to the Army, they have also given a free hand treatment to the various terrorist networks operating from their home soil. India has time and again pointed towards terrorist networks which have caused troubles on our side of the border and have backed it up with proof from time to time. The arrest of a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist Zabiullah alias Hamza in Kupwara on March 20 has led to new revelations regarding the LeT’s modus operandi in Pakistan. Hamza has opened his mouth and has contributed a lot towards increasing the knowledge of Indian forces on the terror camps operating throughout our not so friendly neighbor.
According to Hamza, Lashkar e Taiba head Hafiz Saeed and Zakir-ur-Rehman Lakhvi are expanding their terror network by recruiting young and gullible boys under the alias of their trust Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD). Hamza has clarified that there is a seven tier hierarchy which administers the terror network in Pakistan. The training of new recruits is a two year process in Pakistan and is carried out in seven different locations in the country. Hamza also gave out the names of regions where these terror training camps are operated, Mudrike, forests in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and hilly terrains of Muzaffarabad are the places named by Hamza.
Hamza had been caught in a joint operation by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police. The operation in which five of Hamza’s associates were killed also cost the lives of three soldiers and two policemen. According to Times of India which has access to the interrogation report of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Hamza’s confession in the report reads as “It’s an open invitation. JuD leaders openly invite boys from 15-20 age group of Pakistan to join ‘jihad’ and are willing to sacrifice themselves. They write down their names, address and phone numbers.”
20-year-old Hamza revealed that he got trained for 21 days by Pakistani terrorists group LeT and thereafter for 5 months in Muzaffarabad, to create mayhem in India.
According to Hamza, Hafiz Saeed is at the top of hierarchy in Pakistan followed by instructors and recruiters at the zonal, district , tehsil, town and sector levels. The handpicked recruits are mostly taken from the many madrassas in Pakistan from where they are taken to training centre in Muridke in Lahore. Muridke is where the combat training starts for these young recruits, from here they are sent to Mansehra for weapons training, followed by Muzaffarabad for Map reading and GPS system. The recruits are passed on to Karachi Food centre for learning food rationing process, Daiken in Muzaffarabad trains them in wall climbing. The two remaining centres are probably the most advanced ones, Maskar Khaiber Underground centre in Muzaffarabad gives them the suicide squad training while the last centre Khalid bin Valeed is from where the trained terrorists are dispatched to fight.
Hamza has confirmed that Hafiz Saeed visited them in training camps and had given them motivation for fighting against India. His confessions that recruiters are given protection by the police and Army at every level is just the thing India needs to prove its points against Pakistan government. These confessions betray the evil motives of the Pakistani government which has shielded Hafiz Saeed and his ilk since ages. A strong case for India can be built which can be pursued at the international organizations to expose the hypocrisy of Pakistan which is currently enjoying the benefits of investment from China.
