BAG FULL OF LIES! Saffron Terror narrative falls apart as Aseemanand gets acquitted

A Special Court of the National Investigative Agency (NIA) on Monday acquitted five accused in the 2007 Mecca Masjid Blast Case of all charges citing lack of evidence. The judgment of the Court creates another dent in the Saffron Terror theory of the Congress Party after the NIA recommended the Court to drop all charges against Sadhvi Pragya after finding no evidence against her in the Malegaon Blast Case.

Swami Aseemanand, whose real name is Naba Kumar Sarkar, was arrested on November 19, 2010, from Haridwar in connection with the blast at the Mecca Masjid on May 18, 2007. He, along with four others, was acquitted by an NIA court on Monday in the 2007 Mecca Masjid blast case.

Then MHA Under-Secretary, RVS Mani, has further asserted that the real perpetrators of the attack (not Aseemanand or Sadhvi Pragya) were protected through the misuse of the NIA. He said, “People who perpetrated the attack (Mecca Masjid) were protected through misuse of agency (NIA), this is what is alarming. How do you compensate those who suffered and were maligned? Will Congress or anyone else who propagated this theory compensate them?”

The picture that is painted through the acquittals of the accused, like Aseemanand in most of the cases that were used to perpetuate the myth of Saffron Terror is the concerted attempt to malign a particular political ideology and an entire religious community at large in order to benefit the ruling disposition electorally. There appears to a sinister plan that was hatched to use these phony cases to intimidate and decimate the only organization and political party that had the capability to challenge its dominance in Indian politics.

Now that the cat is out of the bag, the Congress party has claimed that it never used the term Saffron Terror. AICC spokesman P L Punia said, “Show me a video or a sound clip where Rahul Gandhi or any other Congress functionary is seen using the term “bhagva aatankwad” (saffron terror). There is no such thing as Saffron Terror.”

The Congress’ spokesperson’s memory might be a little slow but ours is definitely not.

In 2010, P Chidambaram warned top policemen of a ‘recent uncovered phenomenon’ of Saffron Terror. Digvijay Singh infamously attended the launch of a book that suggested that the RSS was involved in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Sonia Gandhi, reportedly, wept tears of agony after the encounter of Ishrat Jahan who was a terrorist by all accounts. The efforts of the Congress to malign an entire religious community in order to merely implicate its political opposition in the crimes against humanity has compromised the security agencies of the country whose objective was directed away from protecting and serving India, towards fulfilling the political objectives of the ruling disposition.

‘Saffron Terror’ might have been the most nefarious plan hatched by the Congress party to malign the Hindu faith but it was certainly not the only one. And unfortunately for us, unlike the ‘Saffron Terror’ narrative which bombed on the face of the Congress party, certain others have been very successful in achieving their desired goal. The 93rd amendment continues to work against the interests of Hindu run schools and has led to the closure of hundreds and thousands of Hindu run schools. Foreign NGOs which were given complete freedom by the erstwhile regime continue to influence our policies and politics to the detriment of the interests of our nation.

The Congress party continues its attempt to divide Hindus along regional, sectarian and linguistic lines as we have recently witnessed in Karnataka with the Lingayats which has thus far not been successful. Another nefarious plan of the Congress party that didn’t come to fruition is the Communal Violence Bill which was one of the most discriminatory laws that anyone could have ever dreamt of.

The Congress party may now be trying hard to wash its hands off ‘Saffron Terror’. But the public, contrary to established belief, does have a long memory. The Hindus remember.
