Bollywood would do well to introspect on the reasons behind the serious loss of goodwill from significant sections of the population. We do remember their contribution to the farcical Intolerance Drama and how they had attempted to portray the entire country as intolerant. The appalling remarks they had made shall not be forgotten soon. And it is quite amazing how Freedom of Expression is always directed against Hindus and to hurt Hindu sentiments. AIB had in fact rendered an unconditional apology after being threatened by the Church after their roast. Unfortunately, the entire industry seems to suffer from an anti-Hindu bias and derives a perverse form of pleasure from hurting Hindu sentiments.
So when Prashant Shukla, A Quora user came across the question “Is Bollywood destroying Hinduism?” he couldn’t hold himself back. He simply hit the nail right on its head.

What an idiotic list. In movies like Mission Kashmir and Fiza, Muslims were shown as terrorists. In Sarfarosh and Gadar, the main villain is a Muslim. Stop trying to perpetuate that Bollywood has an anti-Hindu stance. Stop trying to bring politics into art. Bollywood equally shows Muslims and Hindus as heroes and villains. Also wearing tilak in movies does not mean that the person being portrayed is a gangster. Case in point Govinda in Raja Babu and Sanjay Dutt in Shaadi No 1. You also said Hindu priests are always shown in poor light. Well then what about Pankaj Kapur in Dharm or Rajnikanth in John Jaani Jaanardhan. I am a Hindu myself but unlike you i don’t hate other religions.
