Let this be very clear, India is no place for Rohingyas

Rohingyas

Shashi Tharoor recently took to Twitter to vent his frustration with the government’s decision to deport illegal Rohingyan immigrants. Mr. Tharoor tweeted, “Shocked by Govt’s decision to deport Rohingya refugees. Ancient humanitarian tradition being sacrificed purely because Rohingyas are Muslim?” It’s understandable why Mr. Tharoor wishes for the Rohingyas to stay and be granted full citizenship. Because of course, then, the Secular parties can cater to their audacious demands and turn them into their votebank.

Tufail Ahmed, ex-BBC journalist, and a darling of the right-wing until very recently has also voiced his concerns about the government’s decisions and demanded that the Rohingyas be permitted to stay appealing to humanitarian concerns. Meanwhile, Zakir Musa, chief of Al Qaeda’s Kashmiri Cell, has issued threats over the government’s decision. It is interesting to note that it is another one of those occasions when the Moderate Muslim and the Extremist seem to share similar opinions about a controversial issue.

The Mainstream Media, which otherwise exhausts all its resources trying to build an extensive victimhood narrative for Muslims in India, are falling over themselves in trying to convince the government to reverse its decision. Liberals are always too busy in portraying the BJP as fascists and BJP supporters as Nazis and creating a narrative that India is effectively under a Hindutva Fascist Regime but at the same time, they seem to think India can provide Rohingyas with an opportunity to flourish and prosper. Something just doesn’t add up? I am of the opinion that all liberals should help buy every Rohingyan a one-way ticket out of India to help them escape the evil Hindutva fascism that has taken over this country. That way, both sides get to live in peace.

Very recently, the Rohingyas murdered scores of Burmese and Hindus in Myanmar in one of their terror attacks. And there have been regular inputs from our intelligence agencies that many of these Rohingyas are being radicalized by terror outfits for waging war against India. It is rather sad that liberals and secular politicians are willing to sacrifice the lives of their countrymen simply to score political points or for the sake of lofty ideals. The reason why secular politicians and liberals are so vehemently opposing the government’s move to deport Rohingyas is because they do not have any Skin in the Game. They will not be remotely affected if Rohingyas are permitted to stay but it’s the common citizen of India who will have to bear with the threat of Islamic Fundamentalism. When you don’t have to bear the consequences of your choices, you are free to espouse all sorts of lofty ideals and policies because someone else will pay the price for your delusions.

There is an old adage that goes, “History repeats itself.” But History repeats itself because we do not learn from our mistakes from the past. 1947 was a historic moment for our civilization. We relinquished our right to our own land because members of a certain community asserted that they couldn’t bring themselves to live with a Hindu majority population and our country went through a partition for the same. After that historic moment, it will be nothing short of stupidity and sheer naiveté to allow Rohingyan Muslims to continue to stay in our country.

Demography is Destiny. And we cannot allow ourselves to endanger the security of our nation and the prosperity of our people for the sake of lofty ideals.

If Myanmar is too difficult for the Rohingyas to return to, they are free to leave for any of the numerous Islamic countries that exist, they can surely accommodate more of their coreligionists.

India is the last land for Hindus, we cannot afford compromise on Demography any further than we already have.

Bangladesh, a country that has turned away Rohingyas, has Islam as its official state religion. Under these circumstances, it should not fall upon Hindus to accommodate a community that is quite obviously an existential threat to our prosperity even according to our intelligence agencies. We continue to witness the wave of terror attacks that have gripped the West and the steep rise in crime rates after they have taken in Islamic refugees. We should learn from their mistakes and the government of India has taken a step in the right decision by deciding to deport Rohingyas.

Liberals and secular politicians can whine all they like but it should be remembered that they aren’t the ones who will be paying the price for what they advocate. They live in their closed gated communities tucked away safely from the realities of Islamic fundamentalism. Maybe that is the reason it is so easy for them to wax eloquence about humanitarian concerns as they demand that Rohingyas be given a safe refuge in India. The price will be paid by the marginalized of this country, by the poor and the downtrodden who will have to share their neighbourhood with them, who will have to share job opportunities with them. As a country, it is our duty to look after the concerns of our own people first and foremost. The poor of our country shouldn’t have to pay the price for the grand delusions of the elites.
