Communists in Kerala tried stopping RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, He Destroyed Them with just 1 Move

Earlier this month, Kerala’s finance minister Thomas Isaac told India Today that RSS wasn’t large enough in the state for the Communists to use physical violence against them. Apart from lying blatantly twice in one sentence, the veteran commie inadvertently betrayed an aspect of Communist mentally that has prevailed wherever this godforsaken ideology took root- that it is completely acceptable to use physical violence against anyone the communists consider to be a serious political threat.

RSS' position has improved in Kerala, but they are not in large numbers that we have to use physical violence: Thomas Isaac pic.twitter.com/mUTSfy0npY

The first lie he spoke is that the Communists do not use physical violence against the RSS. We know this is a lie due to the countless instances of murder, maiming and torture perpetrated by the Communists on members of the RSS. His second lie is that the RSS isn’t large enough in the state. Even if the organization’s growth or the growth of BJP’s vote-share in the state were not considered, the fact that Communists have gone around butchering them is testament that they consider the organization to be a serious political threat.

The minister might have inadvertently spilled the beans on an unwritten tenet of his ideology, but with the data we have at our disposal, we do not need a minister in Kerala to enlighten us about the ideology’s inhuman and murderous ways. Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot and other butchers of humanity, some who even functioned out of Kolkata for four decades, have by some estimates the blood of hundred million people in their hands. And yet, they continue to function in their thuggish ways around the world, ironically in a democratic setup sometimes.

As witnessed time and again, theirs is an ideology that is incompatible with a democratic setup. This is no rocket science- stifling people’s freedom and potential cannot go hand in hand with allowing people to grow and prosper freely. Even in a democratic setup, communists murder their political opponents with impunity, as if they had no right to exist. They issue diktats according to their whims and fancies, as if the constitution had no meaning. One such diktat was issued on Independence Day earlier this week.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat decided to hoist the Indian flag in Kerala as part of the celebrations, but the state government simply decided that it wouldn’t happen.

The Flag Code of India 2002 allows the unrestricted display of the tricolor, as long as it is consistent with the honor and dignity of the flag. This essentially means that if the laws and conventions applicable to hoisting the flag are followed, any Indian is permitted to hoist it at any time. The order issued by the collector restraining Mohan Bhagwat from hoisting the flag had no legal basis. According to the collector, it was inappropriate for a political leader to hoist the Indian flag in a school that was aided by the government. The last time I checked, collectors were mandated to take decisions based on the rule of law and not on their personal sense of appropriateness.

Mohan Bhagwat defied the baseless restriction imposed on him, and hoisted the Indian flag on Independence Day exactly as scheduled. But the question arises- what exactly were the communists scared of? Were they scared of Mohan Bhagwat or were they scared of the Indian flag being hoisted? With the communists, it could have been either ways.

The Communists might have feared Mohan Bhagwat because the RSS-BJP combine is steadily expanding its foothold in the state. Despite winning only one seat in the last assembly elections, the BJP is being perceived by many as the main challenger to the Communists in the next elections. From the 2006 assembly elections in which they polled 4.75% of the votes, to the 2011 assembly elections in which they polled 6% of the votes, to the 2016 elections in which they polled over 15% of the votes, the party has come a long way. The RSS on the other hand has more than 5000 Shakhas in the Kerala, the highest number in any state of the country, with more than half of them emerging in the last six years. How threatened the Commies feel with the upward trajectory of the saffron siblings is visible.

Up until now, it is believed that the communists have murdered 65 BJP and RSS workers, and maimed and tortured several others.

It is also possible that the Communists were simply scared of a high-profile nationalist hoisting an Indian flag in Kerala. After all, their hatred towards India is no secret. From refusing to accept independence for years to supporting the Chinese when India was at war with them, from supporting the likes of Kanhaiya Kumar to sympathizing with the separatists in valley, the Commies have a colorful track-record of backstabbing the nation. Among the primary tenets of the ideology is that nations are a conspiracy of the rich to exploit the poor. What can you expect from people who subscribe to an ideology that seems to emanate from a mental disorder?

Whether it was him or the Indian flag that scared them, Mohan Bhagwat did not disappoint. What we saw on Independence Day was a confident RSS, ready to take on communist thuggery. This came on the heels of Arun Jaitley’s visit to the state, to highlight the Communists’ murderous ways and pressurize them to cut down on their belligerence. The BJP and the RSS have faced the most horrific hardships in Kerala, but they have prevailed. Now, they have grown large enough to take on the red monsters, and the gauntlet has been officially thrown.
