Liberals are again up to what they do best, silencing voices they do not approve of. Of course, they claim to support Freedom of Expression but their version of it comes with its Terms and Conditions. Thus it happened that recently when Paresh Rawal suggested on Twitter that the Army tie Arundhati Roy in front of their jeep instead of a stone pelter, liberals had a collective meltdown on Social Media. How dare Paresh Rawal suggest that we treat an enemy of the nation as we would an enemy? Such nuance is obviously lost on liberals. In the end, Twitter, being the ‘Safe Space’ for liberals that it is, forced Paresh Rawal to delete his tweet.
On the morning of the 24th of May, Sonu Nigam took to Twitter to vent his angst towards the prevalent discourse. To say he was displeased at how his comments on Azaan at Mosques were perceived would be an understatement. He announced his farewell to TwitterVerse after attacking those who went after him for his opinions. Sonu Nigam pointed out the duplicity of the liberal discourse where their coreligionists can walk away without any repercussions while Nationalists are forced to face consequences for exactly the same reason. And to ‘declutter’ his life, he made up his mind to delete his Twitter account.
The treatment of Sonu Nigam and Paresh Rawal by the liberal ecosystem is hardly surprising.
After all, their core beliefs rest on a pedestal of lies and hypocrisy. If their opinions are to be protected, it is of paramount importance that the other side is silenced, using force if necessary, and shamed into submission. Liberals have great in-group loyalty. Therefore, all transgressions by their coreligionists are buried under the rug while they froth in the mouth over inconsequential inanities.
For some it might come as a surprise but it’s only to be expected that the ones going after Paresh Rawal and Sonu Nigam for their tweets are the same people who believe Aurangzeb was a beacon of Secularism and deny the genocide of Hindus by the Islamic invaders.
Imagine for a second, Liberals are more concerned over Paresh Rawal’s and Sonu Nigam’s tweets than the destruction of Hindu lives in Dhulagarh and Kaliachowk by Peaceful mobs. And it’s the same group of people who scream and shriek after every single Terror Attack that Terrorism has no Religion unless of course Gaurakshaks are involved in some crimes. After a while, one sees a pattern emerging. The same group of people will have opinions antagonistic to Indians, to Hindus, on almost every single issue there is.
In the Liberal world, a difference in opinion is not merely a disagreement, it’s a moral sin for which the other side must be ruthlessly punished for their transgression. It will be incorrect to assume liberals aren’t aware of the problems with their worldview or the insincerity and the duplicity of their actions, it’s just that they dearly believe their cause is worthy of all the sins it entails and that the end truly justifies the means. And hence, to realize their worldview, they would gladly commit the most heinous of atrocities against human sensibilities.
The liberal outrage against Abhijeet Bhattacharya would be infinitely more justified if they did not condone similar behavior by their coreligionists. They have either gleefully cheered or gladly ignored the when prominent liberal handles meted out the vilest of insults to Nationalists without any provocation.
Where was the moral indignation when the likes of Mika Singh, Raghu Ram and Swati Chaturvedi aka Brinjal littered Twitter with their filth?
One tends to think Sonu Nigam should not have quit Twitter as it means liberals have achieved their objective but then again, he has better things to do than engage with clowns on Social Media.
Abhijeet Bhattacharya has been suspended from Twitter as well and one wonders when his account will be restored, if it ever is.
In just a couple of days, liberals have displayed their amazing tolerance for Freedom of Expression in a breathtaking manner. Nationalists and Hindus must realize, and I am sure a lot of them already have, that Dissent is a political tool that liberals use to transform every sin into a moral imperative. Therefore, a concerted resistance every time liberals scream and shriek about suppression of dissent is an imperative.
P.S. Some might wonder why I have called liberals ‘coreligionists’. Well, it’s simply because Liberalism is a religion with its own set of social mores and morals and ‘Priests’. I hope to elaborate more on the matter soon.
