Once a wise man told me that ever since Modi came to power, every definition in India has become convoluted. It only takes a few articles to ascertain how funny the liberal commitments of Indian liberals are. The beef-loving-jallikattu-hating liberals are a funny lot. They used to be the elite group of people supposed to set the narrative of the nation and the gullible masses had no option but to chew, swallow and digest whatever came out of their mouths. But things have changed. With the advent of high speed internet and of course the Social Media, they are devastated. Hence, anything and everything liberals do not like or endorse is hate speech, racist, sexist or misogynist.
Since 2014 we have seen many liberal propagandas. From the craftily crafted Intolerance campaign right before Bihar Elections to the Award Waapsi Sham to JNU to FTII to Hyderabad University Episode and of course the numerous #NotMyPM and NotMyCM trends on Twitter, we have seen them all.
But can a person have a hidden liberal? It is quite possible – Due to societal pressure, a person tends to hide his/her inner feelings. A person may be a Hard Core Right Winger for the world but he may be a little liberal zombie when there are no human scents around.
Hence I thought of creating the “Which Indian Liberal are you?” quiz.
