Demonetization is a nightmare for these politicians

demonetization Arvind Punjab Kejriwal

Every honest taxpayer of this Nation must have rejoiced when the Government took the politically valiant step of scrapping high currency notes in order to unearth the black money stored in the vaults of the ultra rich tax evaders of this Nation. Several professional economists and bankers hailed demonetization as a landmark reform which has the potential of cleaning up the monetary system of India.

While the general mood in the country has been ecstatic post the 8th November demonetization announcement by the Prime Minister there is a tribe of politicians whose only lifeline is muscle and money power, the tribe has not left any stone unturned to make sure that they take the sheen off this scheme and to portray it as an anti poor step by the Government of India. Post this announcement the informal anti BJP front have joined hands and went up in arms against the scheme. This was soon followed up and aggravated by the agents of these outfits (some of the mainstream media channels). Thus, we list down those for whom demonetization is indeed draconian in the current political scenario and how they manifested their discontent towards the scheme in a naïve attempt to mislead the Nation at such a crucial juncture.

Trinamool Congress Party:

The Indo-Bangladesh Border is one of the hotspots from where counterfeit currency enters India doing great damage to the Indian Economy. Years of non action against such anti social elements along the Indo-Bangladesh border that do not only create communal tensions in the state of West Bengal but cause a great disservice to our Nation as such has made the same community the chief electorate of the TMC.

Thus, Mamtaji appeared to be the most disgusted political personality post the demonetization move.

True to her undeclared apprehension, the move has hit the counterfeiters where it hurts the most and the fake currency capital of India Malda has witnessed an unprecedented halt to the undercover counterfeit currency business unsettling hundreds involved in the notorious trade. Even as the Nation was celebrating the bold reform, Mamtaji made the first attempt to mar the celebratory mood of the Nation which was later capitalized upon by many of her accomplices in a systematic manner. Her anger and aggressive stance against the centre is not a method of alleviating the pain of the poor but a desperate attempt to save her crumbling vote bank.

Aam Aadmi Party

Well, Arvind Kejriwal is the worst hit. For someone like Arvind Kejriwal who rode to power on the basis of self coronation as the anti corruption crusader of India who would rid Delhi of its corruption mess. The demonetization scheme would surely raise some tough questions with passage of time for the self declared messiah of Delhi primarily due to complete inaction on his part for bringing the corrupt to justice despite the proof that he had against them prior to the elections (pun intended). Even though Arvind Kejriwal has joined the notorious tribe of the pseudo seculars and the brand ambassadors of tragedy tourism the fact remains that recognition of PM Modi as the actual anti corruption crusader could prove to be fatal as far as the political career of Delhi CM is concerned.

Arvind Kejriwal chose to unleash the most ‘resorted to’ weapon out of his arsenal, i.e. counter allegations. Instead of extending support to one of the biggest anti corruption measures, the ‘anti corruption crusader’ chose to draw weird inferences out of thin air claiming that certain unknown friends of the BJP had been already informed about the scheme and that they have already converted their black money into legitimate money. Like every other evidence adduced by Kejriwal, this claim was also a mere uncorroborated and politically motivated allegation constituting evidence only in Kejriwal’s figment of imagination.

SP, BSP and Congress

The demonetization scheme has become politically significant particularly because the Uttar Pradesh legislative assembly elections are around the corner. The role of money and muscle power in UP is no longer a secret and the anti BJP outfits particularly the regional ones are infamous for such notoriety. Therefore, the move will definitely throw the electoral preparedness of the political contestants out of gear.

Severe criticism of the scheme by Rahul Gandhi, Mulayam Singh and Mayawati show how they have been taken by surprise courtesy this move and the tantrums taken up by the SP supremo including the one asking for a 7 day time window before the scheme be implemented in toto is a testimony to the eagerness of the unallied pseudo seculars in the Uttar Pradesh Elections to open up all possible windows from where the illegitimately collected capital can be disposed of.

In addition to that, it is common knowledge that much coveted UP Legislative seats were up for sale and Party Supremos were charging hefty amounts for seats.

For Congress the problems run deep. Their years of toil has amassed a lot of wealth and this is not just the Gandhi family that I am talking about. Last heard, the Income Tax Settlement Commission had levied a penalty of nearly Rs 57 crore on Congress spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi after the he failed to furnish documents supporting his claims of expenditure for running his office.

Conclusion:

Demonetization is in the greater good of the Nation and a huge step towards the development of the most underdeveloped section of the Indian society. The claim of the demonetization scheme being an instrument of public harassment is coming only from those who were actually meant to be ‘harassed’ by way of the Demonetization scheme. If you happen to have been misinformed or misled about the efficacy of this scheme, please don’t forget that every single claim against this scheme is mere eyewash. It is true that the scheme is not foolproof but it is also true that no public scheme is free from blemishes.

The demonetization inconvenience that has been caused by the scheme should not be taken as a parameter for evaluating its success because the real victory of the scheme lies in cleaning up of the monetary system and bringing the hoarded money back into the economy for the greater good of this Nation.
