Kashmir All Party Delegation: All Parties have Conspired to waste your money together

All Party Kashmir

All party meeting for which most of the opposition parties was been dying was finally done and they all agreed to agree on a free junket to Kashmir with the pretext of being a part of all party delegation. The congress and the commies somehow have this strong notion that talking to anyone and everyone in Kashmir will yield results even if it has to be at the cost of its and the nation’s self-esteem.

Let’s dissect this idea of “All party visit to Kashmir” to understand it in lay man’s language and how is it good or bad for the nation.

There is a 30 member team who would be visiting Kashmir for a 2 day visit. Apart from the Home Minister and Minister of State in PMO Jitendra Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Mr. Azad, Mallikarjun Kharge and Ambika Soni (Congress), Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan (LJP), Sharad Yadav JD(U), Sitaram Yechury (CPI(M) and D.Raja (CPI). Tariq Anwar (NCP) and Saugata Roy (Trinamool Congress), Sanjay Raut and Anandrao Adsul (Shiv Sena), Thota Narasimham (TDP), Mr. Chandumajra (SAD), Dilip Tirkey (BJD), Asaduddin Owaisi (AIMIM), Badaruddin Ajmal (AIUDF) and E. Ahamed (Muslim League), Jitendra Reddy (TRS), N.K. Premchandran (RSP), P. Venugopal (AIADMK), Tiruchi Siva (DMK), Y.B. Subba (YSRC), Jaiprakash Yadav (RJD), Dharamveer Gandhi (AAP) and Dushyant Chautala (RLD) are also part of the delegation.

There are two aspects of this analysis:

Primarily let’s try to understand for talks or for resolving an issue why do we need to take so many people and people who are least or not at all connected to the subject. What has a commie, a member from Akalis, an MP from RLD or a Muslim League for that matter any party which has no presence in that state of J&K got to do with this visit? So with a limited or no knowledge on the subject they intend to talk to people in Kashmir on Kashmir and therefore what would be the outcome can be anyone’s guess.

You are an Engineer, have worked with machines for years and now you have been suddenly asked to operate patients in an operation theatre, assuming that this might work since the doctors have failed to cure this patient. This is the line of action suggested by these law makers.

Imagine an MP from TDP or YSR Congress who has a limited reach till the region of Andhra, but is still assigned a task in helping to solve the problems of Kashmir. In all probability he may have not even been to Kashmir or may have not even spoken to any Kashmiri in the past, so in any which ways his contribution in getting this resolved will be miniscule.

Calculate the cost incurred for taking them to the valley, lodging, food, transportation, logistics, site seeing, etc., and well remember we still pay for this free junket for these MP’s.

Think for a moment and understand if we really need this or is indeed a waste of money.

Coming to the second aspect of this subject which is kind of more important.

Time and again we keep hearing that the “All party delegation” will meet all the stakeholders in Kashmir. Let me be blunt, the primary stakeholder which the congress and the commies focus are the Hurriyat or the Separatist’s and more specifically the hardliner Geelani whom they are hell bent to pacify or more precisely appease him at any cost, while at the same time he at his best keeps refusing for talks.

In this drama of meetings I somehow still find the stakeholders of the valley more reasonable who by themselves have concluded that “The writing on the wall is clear. The people of Kashmir want freedom from India. Evidently, the All Party Delegation is not authorized to negotiate on or even discuss this vital and fundamental issue. The Indian parliamentary delegation is coming to Kashmir after passing a resolution that Kashmir is an integral part of India, hence it neither has mandate nor the intention to resolve the dispute of Jammu and Kashmir.”

Where is the meeting ground for talks, the hurriyat is not ready to talk without India declaring J&K as disputed region, while India has been more than equally emphatic that J&K is and will always remain an integral part of India and instead now even wants to have talks on the return of PoK.

BTW, who are these folks from New Delhi planning to meet, practically most of the so called “stake holders” have already denounced any plans to meet. Kashmiri businesses also announced that they would not meet the all party delegation, asserting that such “half-hearted” measures won’t solve any purpose. A statement issued said that the heads of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Kashmir Economic Alliance, Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation, the Federation Chamber of Industries Kashmir and All Kashmir Fruit Growers Association, at an emergency meeting, unanimously resolved that meeting the visiting delegation “would be nothing beyond a foolish exercise aimed at photo session, which will only end up in rubbing salt into the wounds of Kashmiris caught in worst ever humanitarian crises.

The doctors association in the valley have also refused to meet these visiting dignitaries.

The situation is alike to a colleague, who sets funny conditions to be in your party tonight. He sets conditions like “if you dance like a Michael Jackson” or “do a mimicry like a Johnny Lever” or “sing like a Lata Mangeshkar” and entertainment him, only then will he come. You know very well you cannot do that but just to appease this arrogant fellow you keep trying and make a joke of yourself to the world.

These pack of jokers are on a joy ride to Kashmir, being a laughing stock for the valley and a shame for the country.
