Why has everyone decided that Modi is not capable of retaliation?

500 1000 Uri Attack PM Modi Black Money corruption

One question to everyone. Why are we so sure that there will be no action against Pakistan? As soon as Uri Attack News went live, why did everyone decide that Modi is not capable of retaliation? My first reaction was angry too, but let not anger blind our sense of reasoning.

I see atrocious trends on Twitter, disgruntled BJP supporters crying hoarse. Yes the loss is irredeemable and we are shocked as a nation but what kind of a message are we sending to the world by lambasting our own government on public platforms? That we do not stick together in times of crises? That we are a nation of cynics. That the man who ushered in an era of hope is now leading a hopeless country?

Has Uri Attack killed the fight in us, the nation which didn’t break after countless invasions, failed ploys of religious conversions?

Yes Rajnath Singh’s Kadi Nindas are nauseating but he also happens to be the first Indian home minister who called Pakistan a terrorist nation. We disregarded him as a Baaton ka sher, but check Pakistan News sites and see the kind of furor his statement has caused.

Also, let us get our priorities straight. What exactly do we want?

That Modi does a press conference and announces to the world that we are going to annihilate Pakistan? Or better, Modi, Parrikar and Doval to live tweet the movements and inform everyone about the plans and strategies? Does real world work like that?

The June 4 attack on the army convoy which claimed the lives of 18 army men in Manipur’s Chandel district shattered us as a nation. They were massacred in cold blood by militants drawn from various factions, including NSCN-Khaplang and Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup. We were baying for their blood but the army was uncharacteristically calm. They were gearing up for vengeance. A strategy was being laid on the basis of ‘credible and specific intelligence’. Targets were been identified and marked.

And once the planning was done, they attacked the militants with full power. The Indian Army, in a joint operation with the Indian Air Force, engaged the militants at two locations on the Indo-Myanmar border and wreaked havoc. There were no causalities on our side and if sources are to be trusted, our men killed more than 100 of militants.

The message was loud and clear “Don’t mess with us, we know you and we know where you live. We are capable of killing you inside your safe havens”.

India is capable of similar retaliations and trust me on this, the various closed door meetings and a surprising adulation of the Indian Government in the media hints at that. So let us not be impatient and stick together.

And you know what, who are having fun at our expense? The anti-India forces that reside on our soils and plot against us, they are trending the atrocious trends and we are helping them propagate their toxic agenda. Can’t we see that? They are laughing at us.

Let us calm down. Uri Attack martyrs will be avenged and the justice will be poetic. Modi started the systematic cleansing operation; 15th August was when it was made public. Let us help our government achieve what they have started and unless we stick together as a country, their efforts will go in vain.
