A Sanghi shatters all myths about The RSS

RSS

The Rashtriya Swayemsevak Sangh also called as RSS or Sangh, is a voluntary organization with nationalism and patriotism as its founding principles.

Its fundamental role is to create selfless men and women for the welfare of the society, upliftment of downtrodden and helping fellow Indian brothers and sisters. You see any calamity in any part of the country be it floods, accidents, natural disasters or war and you could with most probability locate the khaki half pant wore swayemsevaks in action, be it the Latur or Gujarat earthquakes or the Chennai floods or the Indo-China war in sixties or even the mid-air crash of a Saudi plane near New Delhi carrying haj pilgrims to mecca.  They do their bit of selfless services without any orders from anyone and therefore the name “swayem-sevaks”.

Sangh since its inception believed that nation building can be done only when its citizens are physically and intellectually strong to understand the needs and are always ready to serve its motherland. RSS inculcates the feeling of brotherhood amongst all the country men and talks about the unity of all with Hindu culture as its binding force for centuries.

This ideology of helping others is done through a simple and effective methodology called “shakhas”. A shakha can be daily, weekly, fortnightly or even monthly in few cases and is spread amongst school going kids, college students, service or business professionals, IT professionals, women and retired service men. The Shakha’s are undoubtedly the most visible symbol of the Sangh though simplest in structure and its execution self-contained, bottom-up approach and people driven. It’s also the reason for its stupendous success in spite of all the negative media coverage that the organization receives. The Shakha has been the most effective and time-tested instrument for molding men of character and values with emphasis on Physical training and Intellectual pursuit with importance on Social issues. Sangh does not has any formal membership, anyone can become a member by joining the nearest shakha, the basic unit of the RSS.

With such noble thoughts RSS is still the most hated organization by the media, no group has been as badly vilified as has been Sangh for decades with false allegation, lies and hatred. Still it never reacts, because they work very differently. The RSS maintains and depends on man to man and mouth to mouth publicity, it may be a slow process but it bonds and connect people forever, the trust is so strong that any false media publication is just smiled and jerked off as a another joke far away from the reality. Except for BJP most of the political parties have defamed Sangh for their own political gains, talking about Mahatma’s assassination to even communalism. Few so called “learned intellectuals” and “educated” individuals do take their cue from what they read in the media and do not bother to personally check the facts though these are easily accessible, thus their mindset is only based by the criticism they read.

The fact remains that the Sangh story has never been presented truly to the world, since independence there has always been a myth and a layer of false propaganda created by the congress and the commies. Stories like RSS is only for upper caste Hindus, did not participate in the independence movement, hates Muslim’s and Christians, opposes reservation, oppose modernization, being communal, etc. are all very untrue. And then again you have the politics of vote bank and appeasement at their cost, since it suits almost every “Sickular” party to paint a dirty brush on Sangh for its own political mileage.

There is enormous amount of good work done by RSS and its affiliates for last 91 years, will list few to make people understand the concept of “Truth vs Reality”
