Gulbarg Society Massacre: All deliberate lies debunked

Gulbarg Society

The Gulbarg Society Massacre verdict by a special court must have been déjà-vu for a section, the Modi-haters who are anxious in their way to see him (and Amit Shah) framed, and were eagerly waiting for the verdict. The court not just acquitted a majority of accused, 36 as opposed to 24 convicted, it also ruled out the possibility of the attack and arson being pre-planned; much to the dismay of Modi-haters.

Gulbarg society massacre made headlines due to high profile individuals being killed in the violence. Ex-MP from Congress Ehsaan Zafri was one of the unfortunate ones.

To disburse justice for this heinous massacre which had followed another act – this time planned, the Godhra train burning of Kar Sevaks – which is often lost in the story of violence,  the court convicted the ones against which it could find evidence, and acquitted those who could not be incriminated, as is expected of the court. Apparently this did not go well the Modi-haters who somehow believe that the whole machinery was responsible for the crime, and probably believe Modi himself might have eliminated a few Muslims. It is not understandable how these sections is ignoring court rulings after rulings and continue to believe what they want to. Apparently they are finding it difficult to get out of the comfort zone they have entrenched themselves in, where they find Modi and BJP responsible, for riots.
Some key points out of the Gulbarg Society verdict are: –
1) Court ruled out the possibility of it being planned. Owing to the inefficiencies of Indian judiciary, it took 14 long years to reach to this conclusion. The stories about the riots that transpired in span of these years completely twisted the reality. (Prominent) Journalists who concocted theories and spread rumours were closely listened to. Their propagandist and probably paid versions of unfolding of riots were accepted as gospels of truth.

The belief that the Gulbarg Society Massacre was pre-planned by Hindu rioters spilled over to movies as well. Parzania is one movie which showcased this belief. One particular sequence in the movie in which state police is seen to be an accomplice with the rioters needs to find a special mention.

Police inspector K G Erda was in charge of Meghaninagar police station where the Gulberg Society is located. Erda was arraigned by the prosecution following complaints of victims during the proceedings as he was senior police inspector who had lodged the complaint and investigated the case for a brief time. Now as per the Parsi lady who had taken the shelter at Jafri’s house alleged that when she reached Erda with the photo of her missing kid, he asked one of the rioters whether they had killed any such boy or not? When they said no, he passed on his photo to them.

This particular incident stereotyped the conduct of police during the riots. One needs to ask the filmmakers that if the police really behaved the way they think they did, why were numerous Hindus killed in police firing?

An allusion to the Gulbarga Society Massacre in Kai Po Che shows Hindu fringe elements (and a politician, probably trying to allude to BJP member) carefully planning and executing it. Though late, it is welcome the myth has been shattered and court, acting on evidences gave the correct decision.

2) Acquittal of Bipin Patel, a four- time BJP corporator : – A part of the witch hunt, all hell would have let loose had he been convicted. The same media which is underplaying the verdict right now would have shouted on top of their voices accusing BJP and Modi of complicity. The verdict which vindicates him comes as comfort for the BJP.

3) Brain freeze of the anti-Modi brigade:- A court order spanning 14 years of deliberations brought out a verdict against their wishes and fancies. The Gulbarg Society verdict has not gone well with the large media houses who first speculated before the verdict came, on how this will provide justice, but now chooses not to talk about this as this did not implicate anyone from BJP. The larger sphere of secularists is showing same reactions. They refuse to admit the truth behind the gory and unfortunate incident. Most of them are now pointing out ‘glaring holes in judicial system’ and some of them still believe justice has not been delivered. The reaction is reminiscent of the same of this comrade named Mukul Sinha, the man behind ‘truth of Gujarat’, which is a vilifying campaign against Modi government. His epic reaction when Modi was acquitted by SIT probe was epic in multiple proportions. He went on channel to channel ‘showing proofs’ of complicity but he went silent when asked why the courts did not take these evidences if these are so reliable and authentic.

The mudslinging campaign against the Modi government has neither stopped nor will it be in near future. The detractors against the BJP and Modi are so determined that facts and legal judgements have ceased to remove the blinding opinions from their psyche. Talking of the inefficacy of the verdict in clearing facts from conspiracy theories, it is all right for people to have opinions and stick to them through life. What is not right is when they push their prejudiced views and twisted facts to vilify a person and a political party, in an unfair way. The lacklustre way in which Gulbarg Society verdict was treated by the media and the leftists should remind us every day that heavens forbid, if an iota of evidence would have arisen against the BJP, they would have created a ruckus parallel to the ‘intolerance protests’ and not let the government function paralysing normal life. What we need to learn from the ongoing process of justice for Gujarat riots, is that only a part of the truth will be ever shown by MSM and self proclaimed champions of justice and secularism. ‘Gujarat riots’ a book by MD Deshpande tries to bring the other side of the coin in the narrative till now. He presents facts of the numerous atrocities Hindus endured at the hand of Muslims after the attack which were conveniently ignored by the media as well as Human Rights Commission.

On an ending note it is important to note that eventually judiciary, banking on evidences and facts, has shattered one more lie that the secularists with vested interests had propagated hitherto. It is also important to not believe, both the MSM and the leftist brigade.
