Actors Konkona Sen Sharma and Amol Parashar have once again found themselves at the centre of dating speculation after Konkona shared a playful video featuring the two of them on Amol’s 40th birthday.
The Instagram reel, posted on September 17, shows Konkona and Amol together in a light-hearted exchange set to Imael Angel’s Bad Times. The joke revolves around Konkona suggesting different ways to celebrate Amol’s birthday, while he repeatedly indicates that he does not want to do anything.
Konkona captioned the video, “When it’s his birthday but he doesn’t want to do anything,” followed by a simple “HBD AP”. She also shared a birthday message on her Instagram Stories, calling him “Besharam”, a reference to Amol’s live show Besharam Aadmi.
The post quickly drew attention because of the long-running speculation surrounding the two actors. Fans flooded the comments with references to a possible “soft launch” or “hard launch” of their relationship, while several members of the film fraternity also reacted to the video.
However, neither Konkona nor Amol has publicly confirmed that they are dating. The two actors have maintained a notably private approach to questions about their personal equation.
The speculation dates back several years. Konkona and Amol worked together in Alankrita Shrivastava’s 2019 film Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. Their subsequent appearances together, including at the screening of Amol’s Gram Chikitsalay 2 earlier this year, have periodically renewed interest in their relationship.
Amol has previously addressed the speculation without putting a label on the relationship. In an interview with The Times of India, he said, “That is for us to worry about,” while describing Konkona as someone with whom he had shared a strong connection while working together.
For now, the birthday reel has given fans their most visible glimpse yet of the pair together, but the “soft launch” remains an interpretation by followers rather than an official relationship announcement from either actor.
