Nationwide ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign to Feature MP Bike Rally and Cultural Events Ahead of Independence Day

On the occasion of Independence Day celebrations, as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Government of India has launched the Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) campaign.

This year, Har Ghar Tiranga will be celebrated across the nation from 2nd August 2025 to 15th August 2025. The idea behind this campaign is to instill the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of Indians and pay patronage to the journey of India and those patriots who have contributed towards creating this great nation.

Under this campaign, people will be encouraged to hoist flags in their premises and selfie with Tiranga to be uploaded on website https://harghartiranga.com .

Route of Bike Rally

To ensure outreach of this campaign at massive levels and to ensure high janbhagidari, a Tiranga Bike Rally with Members of Parliament is being organized on 12th August 2025 at 08:00 AM at Pragati Maidan.

The venue as notified in the notification by Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Tourim under Government of India, is the Parking Area in front of Hall No. 14 and the entry for the same is through Gate No. 6. The route is also uploaded in the government notification as the rally will complete a circle of the India Gate, crossing the Kartavya Path and will end at Gate No. 1 of Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.

Description:

  1. The bike rally will cover a total of 3.6 kms.
  2. Participants are requested to bring their own bike and helmet.
  3. Flags will be provided at the Venue.
  4. Participants are also respectfully requested and encouraged to carry the National Flag on their respective motorbikes during the rally.
  5. Before the flag off as people are gathering- there will be some cultural programme and speeches on the main stage area.
  6. Media interaction with reporters encouraged at the venue.
  7. Tea and snacks would be available at the Dhyan Chand Stadium.
  8. All members of Parliament are also encouraged and requested to actively support Har Ghar Tiranga 2025 through outreach activities such as Tiranga Yatras, Tiranga Rallies, Tiranga Concerts in their respective constituencies and encourage the local communities to hoist the Tiranga and upload selfies on harghartiranga.com .

As part of the broader “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, commemorating 75 years of Indian independence, the initiative encourages mass participation in honoring the sacrifices of freedom fighters and celebrating India’s achievements and diverse heritage.

It began as an effort to mark the 75 years (and continues beyond) of India’s freedom, engaging people across the country in active participation by hoisting the flag at their homes during Independence Day.

The campaign has evolved into a people’s movement embraced nationwide, with millions hoisting the flag and uploading selfies to show participation.

The Ministry of Culture is the nodal ministry for the campaign, which aligns with the government’s broader vision under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate India’s glorious history, diverse culture, and achievements through mass community engagement.
