Congress and Rahul Gandhi have once again been caught red-handed peddling lies to mislead the people of India. At a time when the party has lost the trust of voters, Rahul Gandhi is desperately running a so-called “Vote Adhikar Yatra” while crying “vote chori” at every stage. But the truth has now been exposed. His own spokesperson Pawan Khera used fake numbers circulated by psephologist Sanjay Kumar of CSDS to target the Election Commission. Both were forced to delete their tweets, with Sanjay Kumar even apologizing for spreading misinformation. This shameless propaganda proves Congress is surviving only on lies.
Sanjay Kumar’s Fake Data and Forced Apology
Sanjay Kumar, Professor at CSDS Delhi and co-director of Lokniti-CSDS, was forced to eat his words after spreading misinformation about voter numbers in Maharashtra. In a now-deleted tweet, he falsely claimed that assembly constituencies such as Ramtek and Devlali saw a 35–40% reduction in voters between the 2024 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
His figures suggested nearly 1.8 lakh voters vanished in Ramtek and over 1.6 lakh in Devlali. These outrageous numbers were used by Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera to allege massive voter fraud by the Election Commission. However, once the data was cross-verified, Kumar had no choice but to delete his post and issue an apology, admitting the “error occurred” because of misreading.
But the damage had already been done fake propaganda had been planted, amplified, and weaponized by the Congress ecosystem.
Pawan Khera’s Amplification of Fake Propaganda
Congress’s own Pawan Khera jumped onto Sanjay Kumar’s false claims, launching a scathing attack on the Election Commission. In his now-deleted tweet, he sarcastically asked whether the EC expected people to believe that “40% of voters disappeared in Ramtek and Devlali” while “45% suddenly appeared in Nashik West and Hingna.”
Khera even mocked the EC saying “next they will announce 2+2=420.” This was not just political rhetoric it was a direct attempt to discredit India’s most respected electoral body.
Yet, when Sanjay Kumar deleted his tweet and apologized, Khera was left exposed. Will Pawan Khera also apologize to the Election Commission for running a malicious agenda on fake numbers? Or will Congress continue to brazen it out by spreading half-truths and lies?
EC Hits Back: ‘Vote Chori’ Allegations Insult the Constitution
The Election Commission has not remained silent. Hitting back at Rahul Gandhi’s repeated allegations of “vote chori”, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has already said that using such terms amounts to insulting the Constitution itself.
In a strong press conference, the EC made it clear:
-
It will not allow its platform to be misused for political propaganda.
-
It treats every party ruling or opposition the same.
-
Its primary duty is to stand firmly with the voters of India.
The Commission reminded all political leaders that undermining its credibility is equivalent to undermining the very faith of Indian democracy.
Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Vote Adhikar Yatra’ Already a Failure
Rahul Gandhi’s desperation is visible. As his party continues to lose election after election, he has launched the so-called Vote Adhikar Yatra. But instead of mobilizing masses, the yatra has turned into an embarrassing failure. In Bihar, barely anyone has shown up to listen to him. Empty grounds and disinterested crowds underline the truth Rahul Gandhi has lost connect with the people.
Instead of introspection, Congress has chosen the easy route shouting “vote chori,” peddling conspiracy theories, and amplifying fake data. These tactics are designed to incite confusion, breed mistrust, and potentially trigger unrest. But the Indian voter has seen through this charade.
Congress Thrives on Lies, India Stands with Democracy
At the end of the day, this episode is a damning indictment of Congress’s politics. Rahul Gandhi screams “vote chori,” his spokespersons like Pawan Khera amplify fake propaganda, and their ecosystem of “experts” like Sanjay Kumar feeds them half-baked, unverified data. And when the lies are caught, they quietly delete tweets and issue half-hearted apologies.
The Election Commission has stood its ground and reminded the nation that insulting the democratic process is insulting the Constitution itself. While Rahul Gandhi fails to win the people’s confidence, his desperate propaganda campaigns only expose Congress further.
The truth is simple: India’s voters cannot be fooled. Congress can keep crying “vote chori,” but the only theft happening is of their own credibility.
