A shocking incident of crime against a minor girl has come to light from Karnataka’s capital, Bengaluru where the accused is a Madrassa teacher. The Police arrested the accused Madrassa teacher, identified as Mohammed Hasan Ali, for physically assaulting a minor female student after the CCTV footage of the assault started doing rounds on social media.
As per reports, he was arrested on 17th February after receiving a police complaint from the victim’s parents. While the arrest took place a few days earlier, the video is currently doing rounds on social media which has garnered widespread condemnation. In the CCTV footage, the accused can be seen brutally assaulting the minor. He is seen slapping, kicking, and beating minor girls reportedly for spilling rice and quarrelling with other hostel girls while playing.

In the CCTV footage, the accused can also be seen hurting the minor victim by poking her palms with a sharp object.

The details of this crime against minor
The victim is an 11-year-old girl while the accused is the son of hostel supervisor, Mohammad Hasan. The incident pertains to a madrassa in Hegde Nagar.
The Police stated that the girl’s mother lodged a complaint on Wednesday. In her complaint, the victim’s mother stated that her daughter was enrolled in Class 5 at the madrassa and its hostel in July 2024. The accused, Mohammad Hasan, is the son of the hostel in-charge. He would frequently visit the premises and on 16th February evening, at around 4.30 pm, he called the girl to the office where he started brutally assaulting her.
In this case, the Kothanur police has registered an FIR under Section 75 (punishment for cruelty to children) of the Juvenile Justice Act and Section 115 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). A Senior Police officer has confirmed the development of Hasan’s arrest.
