Coldplay India Concerts: Dakota Johnson visit Siddhivinayak temple ahead of singer-boyfriend Chris Martin’s shows

Earlier, the duo had visited Shri Babulnath temple in Mumbai. In October 2015, Coldplay's Chris Martin had recorded Hymn for the Weekend in various Indian cities.

Ahead of Coldplay’s concerts in India, lead vocalist Chris Martin and his girlfriend Dakota Johnson, popular Hollywood actress, paid a visit to the Shri Babulnath Temple in Mumbai on Friday. Their spiritual outing to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings has caught the eye of fans worldwide.

Chris Martin, dressed in a pastel blue kurta paired with a Rudraksha mala, effortlessly embraced Indian tradition. Dakota Johnson, equally graceful in a simple printed cotton suit with her head covered in a dupatta, exuded respect and admiration for Indian culture. Their demeanour and attire reflected their deep appreciation as they paused briefly for photographers before entering the temple.

One moment during their visit became an instant internet sensation—Dakota whispering her wish into the ear of Nandi, Lord Shiva’s sacred bull. It is believed that Mahadev fulfills devotees’ wishes that are conveyed through Nandi Maharaj. This act not only caught an emotional resonance within the hearts of fans but also went viral on social media platforms.

Netizens quickly started sharing and pouring their love and admiration for the couple.

One user playfully tweeted, “Jay Shree (Chris)an #Coldplay,” adding a creative pun to the conversation.

Another fan highlighted the duo’s love for India, writing, “Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin visit Babulnath Mandir to seek blessings before today’s concert shows how much he loves India ❤️.”

Their simple yet heartfelt gesture was appreciated far and wide, with another admirer tweeting, “Really, they look so good 😭,” accompanied by a photo of the couple at the temple. A fan humorously speculated, “I say that Chris and Dakota have already remarried in all possible religions 👀.”

Additionally, Dakota Johnson also visited SiddhiVinayak temple alongside Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre, and Gayatri Joshi.

The serene temple visits occurred just before Coldplay’s “Music of the Spheres” World Tour concerts in India. The iconic UK band is set to perform at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19, and 21, before concluding their India leg with a grand show at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25.

Chris and Dakota have been warmly welcomed in Mumbai, and the singer even greets paparazzi at the airport with a “Namaste,” winning hearts across the nation. Fans are eagerly awaiting the concerts, with many putting a question mark over whether Dakota will support Chris from the audience. Coldplay is returning to India as he earlier recorded ‘Hymn for the Weekend‘ in various cities across India in October 2015. This generates buzz and would surely be an experience to remember for everyone.
