On January 9th, the American Magazine namely ‘The New Yorker’ published an article targeting Tesla CEO Elon Musk for highlighting the issue of grooming gangs in the United Kingdom. The magazine’s piece, titled “Elon Musk’s Latest Terrifying Foray into British Politics,” accused the Tesla CEO of “weaponizing a national scandal” and even “making calls to overthrow a government.” The hit piece appears to be an attempt to shield the Labour Party from scrutiny while undermining Musk’s credibility.

One of the article’s key contentions was that Elon Musk amplified “woke cover-up” narratives rather than acknowledging the deeper societal failures that allowed the crimes to persist. The piece claimed that the victims were often dismissed as “sex workers or sluts” rather than being treated as children in need of protection. However, The New Yorker notably omitted crucial details, such as how fears of being labeled “racist” dissuaded law enforcement from acting against predominantly Pakistani and Muslim perpetrators.

The magazine’s critique extended to Elon Musk’s tweets, portraying him as someone seeking to “foment disorder” rather than genuinely addressing child exploitation. Moreover, the article avoided criticizing the Labour government’s role in addressing these scandals or acknowledging systemic failures within law enforcement and governance. It must be noted that it is the Labour Party led by Keir Starmer who rejected the amendment proposed on the 8th of January which asked for a national inquiry into grooming gangs. The proposal sought to amend the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill to safeguard children from exploitation.

The Labour Party has got a history of turning a blind eye upon the operating Pakistani Muslim Grooming Gangs in the country. Vote bank politics can be seen as the major reason behind the leftist defending the rape enablers. The Labour Party, which relies heavily on Pakistani-Muslim men as a crucial voting bloc, has always chosen to remain silent about these atrocities to safeguard its electoral support. Even though The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) revealed an 82% rise in online grooming offences over the past five years, the Labour government of the UK had rejected a plea by Oldham Council for a national inquiry into grooming gangs to maintain its strong Pakistani-origin voter base.

Back in 2017 Labour MP Sarah Champion was termed racist and even forced to resign from Jeremy Corbyn’s shadow cabinet after she revealed the Pakistani ethnicity of the perpetrators of Grooming Jihad. It must also be noted that the Current Prime Minister from the labour party, Keir Starmer served as the head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) from 2008 to 2013, a period when grooming gangs operated with impunity.

Elon Musk’s role in amplifying the resistance against the concerning issue of Grooming Jihad

At the latest, the debate upon the Grooming Gangs has got a major push with popular figures jumping into the discourse of the subject. A heated debate can be witnessed running on the social media platform X which is built upon the premise of the Rotherham grooming scandal that uncovered between 1997 and 2013 and shook the whole of the United Kingdom. The Rotherham grooming scandal included Muslim men who lured non-muslim in romantic relationships and then sexually exploited them and forced them to give up on their religion and convert to Islam. The grooming scandal came back in public light after the Crown Prosecution Service announced on September 13, 2024, that seven men were sentenced for child sex abuse offenses committed against two young girls during the 2000s. The men, all of Pakistani origin, were convicted following an investigation under Operation Stovewood, a major probe into child sexual abuse in Rotherham.

The scandal reignited the discourse on grooming jihad. Many big names that included Tesla CEO Elon Musk gave a big push to make the concerning subject gain public spotlight. Elon Musk Musk lashed out at the current Prime Minister of United Kingdom Keir Starmer, who served as the head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) from 2008 to 2013, a period when grooming gangs operated with impunity. He wrote “In the UK, serious crimes such as rape require the Crown Prosecution Service’s approval for the police to charge suspects.
