The persecution of the Hindu community in Bangladesh under the rule of Mohammed Yunus has reached such a level that even Hindu women are not spared. Hindu women are being attacked and murdered by the Islamist by entering into the homes of the Hindu community.

In the latest incident, the mother of Hindu Jagran Manch leader Prant Das was brutally murdered in her own home in Khagrachari. Earlier threats were issued by the Bangladeshi Islamists to Prant Das who happens to be a convener of the Hindu Jagran Manch for protesting against the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das, the Hindu monk who was fighting against the persecution of minorities in Bangladesh. The Islamists got into the house of Prant Das and mercilessly murdered his elderly  mother. The Islamists not only vandalized and looted the house but also beat Chumki Das, a family member, when she resisted.

Meanwhile, the unrest in Bangladesh extends beyond isolated incidents. In Sunamganj district, mobs targeted Hindu homes and temples in Mangalargaon village under Doarabazar police station. Hundreds of houses were destroyed, shops looted, and a Loknath temple desecrated. The Vandals stole approximately 15 lakh taka from the temple, leaving the local Hindu community devastated.

Similar attacks were reported in Panchagarh district, where temples in Boda Upazila faced severe vandalism. Despite pleas to the authorities, no significant action was taken to protect the victims or their property.

Hindus speaking out against these atrocities are being silenced. Chittagong University professor Kushalbaran Chakraborty was attacked by extremists for condemning the violence. Meanwhile, Former ISKCON monk Chinmoy Krishna Das remains imprisoned on trumped up charges of sedition, with his bail case pending in Chittagong court. Reports also indicate the arrest of Bipra Das, a young Hindu who live-streamed footage of the attacks in Sunamganj.

Ever since Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina stepped down and Muhammad Yunus took over Bangladesh, reports from across Bangladesh paint a grim picture of the situation for Hindu communities, who are being constantly targeted because of their religious identity.
