Pro-Palestine mob launch man hunt and lynch Jews in Amsterdam; Israel sends emergency planes to their rescue

Anti-semitism is at an all-time high in recent years around the world. Now, in a glaring display of anti-semitism, a pro-Palestine mob launched a violent attack on Jews who were there for a soccer match. The Islamist mob equipped with knives hunted Jewish soccer fans and attacked them. Against this backdrop, the Israeli government has sent emergency planes to rescue Jewish citizens.

Notably, the Israeli soccer fans who came to witness the match between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Ajax Amsterdam at the Europa League were subject to a violent assault by a Pro- Palestine Islamist mob in Amsterdam. The mob chanting anti-Israeli slogans left ten injured with some having their passports stolen.

The violence against Jews was not confined to any one location but took place in many locations across the city of Amsterdam. According to reports, some of the Israeli citizens were assaulted and they were forced to raise pro-Palestine slogans. Israel has dubbed it as a ‘pogrom‘.

Videos of the brutal attack on the Israeli fans have gone viral across social media platforms. The viral videos show Jewish fans being chased and attacked with knives by the Islamist mob. Ahead of the match, Spanish media had reported that pro-Palestinian groups intended to protest the Israeli team’s presence.

Although Amsterdam police had detained some individuals earlier in the week for riots, there was no confirmation if these arrests were related to the recent attacks. Additionally, Israeli news outlet Maariv suggested that the Dutch police had failed to provide adequate escort to the Maccabi fans as they traveled back from the match, leading some fans to accuse the police of abandoning them to the attackers.

The Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu promptly dispatched two planes to evacuate the affected Israelis, urging Dutch authorities to act decisively against the attackers and ensure the safety of Israeli citizens. The Prime Minister described the situation as serious, calling for an immediate response from Dutch officials to secure peaceful conditions for Israelis in Amsterdam.

Foreign Minister of Israel Gideon Sa’ar confirmed that they are working closely with Dutch authorities, while also advising Israelis to stay in their hotels.

Also in response to the attacks, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett posted his video on X, labeling the violence as an organized “pogrom” and urging Dutch authorities to take swift action. He highlighted the distress of the Israelis in Amsterdam and the life-threatening nature of the violence. He called upon the Dutch authorities to act immediately to prevent further injuries and loss of lives.”

Geert Wilders, the Dutch politician and the leader of the Party for Freedom condemned the attack on Israeli fans. Taking to X, he wrote, “A pogrom in the streets of #Amsterdam. We have become the Gaza of Europe. Muslims with Palestinian flags hunting down Jews. I will NOT accept that. NEVER. The authorities will be held accountable for their failure to protect the Israeli citizens. Never again.”

In the backdrop of the recent attack on Jews, netizens have highlighted a recent report that had alarmed about the ‘inaction’ of Denmark authorities in protecting Jewish ‘targets’. According to a Jerusalem Post report published on 4th October, two officers alarmed that Dutch police were refusing to guard Jewish sites over “moral dilemmas”.

Back then, Marcel de Weerd and Michel Theeboom, from the Jewish Police Network, noted, “There are colleagues who no longer want to protect Jewish targets or events.”

Speaking with De Telegraaf, the officers said that some members of the police expressed they didn’t want to be deployed at the Dutch National Holocaust Museum in Amsterdam and refused food and drinks from the venue.
