The South cinema superstar Rajinikanth has been hospitalised where he underwent an elective procedure. A stent has been placed at the bottom of his abdomen. He will be in hospital for three days.

On September 30th, Monday night, the sudden illness of superstar Rajinikanth hospitalized him in Apollo Hospital in Chennai. According to doctors, his condition is improving, and he is stable; however, he has to remain in the hospital for a few days.
What is an Elective Procedure?
It is a beneficial procedure to alleviate the symptoms of heart-related diseases. The age and medical condition of Rajinikanth prompted doctors to proceed with this procedure.
Why Stent in the Abdomen?
The placement procedure of a stent in the abdomen usually occurs with an obstruction in blood flow to internal organs or swelling or infection in a portion of the organs. It became evident, after he was examined, that this procedure came due for Rajinikanth.
The doctors at the hospital stated that the whole procedure was a success and Rajinikanth’s condition has become stable. In its statement, the hospital also said that such a type of procedure is not very risky, but in the case of Rajinikanth, with his age and health, utmost precautions were taken.
Rajinikanth’s wife, Latha, said to the media that Rajinikanth had been admitted to the hospital after he suffered a sudden attack of stomach pain on Monday night. She added, “Now everything is fine.”
Rajinikanth had suffered some health issues in 2011 also, as he was hospitalized in Singapore for his kidneys treatment. In 2021, he was hospitalized, suffering from high blood pressure and fatigue.
At 73, Rajinikanth would never make one feel that he has aged. His energy and dedication to his craft will continue unwaveringly. The film ‘Jailer’ had a great run at the box office lately, and it turned out to be another blockbuster in the actor’s career, reiterating again and again that age is just a number for him.
Besides, Rajinikanth is working on several projects presently. He will appear in the film ‘Vettaiyan’. The movie is all set to be released on 10 October. Amitabh Bachchan too will be a part of this movie. In this movie, Rajinikanth will play the role of an encounter specialist police officer. The movie ‘Vettaiyan’ is being directed by TJ Gnanavel. TJ Gnanavel also directed ‘Jai Bhim’.
Doctors have requested him to stay in rest for some days. He will be kept in the hospital for a couple of more days so that his health starts improving. It may take two weeks of time to get all sets of complete health after all these procedures, according to the doctors.
Relief to the fans of Rajinikanth has been that he is doing good now, and his health is getting better.
Superstar Rajinikanth is now undergoing treatment in view of his strong acting and heavy fan-following. Though this became a cause for concern for fans and family, luck was on the superstar’s side, as his health is being improved. Hopefully, soon he’ll regain his health and get back to the workplace.
