On 7th October (Monday), Alt News Co-founder and alleged fact-checker Mohammed Zubair was booked for inciting Islamist mobs, threatening to kill, and spreading falsehoods, and hatred against Hindus. He is also accused of peddling an edited and clipped video of Yati NarasimhaNand Saraswati to insult UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Loni MLA Nand Kishor Gujjar. The FIR has been registered at Kavi Nagar Police Station, in Ghaziabad Commissionerate.

The complaint has been filed by Dr. Udita Jyagi who is the Independent Director of SJVN Power Ministry Regional Minister. She is also a functionary of the BJP Mahila Morcha West UP and also holds multiple posts including in the Yeti Narsinhanand Saraswati Trust.

According to the FIR, the provocation continuously took place between the 3rd and the 5th of October. Md. Zubair has been booked under Sections 196, 228, 299, 356(3), and 351(2) of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS). TFI media has accessed a copy of the FIR.

According to the details mentioned in the FIR, Dr. Udita Tyagi had written a complaint to Ghaziabad Commissioner Ajay Mishra. It states that because of Zubair’s provocative tweets, a mob comprising thousands of Muslims attacked Dasna Devi Temple with the intent to kill Yati.

According to the complaint, on 3rd October at 9:30 pm, the co-founder of Alt News, Md. Zubair incited radical Muslims by uploading a video of Mahamandaleshwar Yatti Narsinghanand Giri addressing a program. It added that the tweets also mentioned the old incident of Maharaj ji to incite people and insulted BJP leaders.

It further stated that earlier, Md Zubair maligned Maharaj Ji by cutting a small clip from an edited video. Stressing that Zubair has been notorious for dog-whistling Islamists against prominent Hindus and BJP leaders, the complaint mentioned that he made a list of ten BJP leaders declaring them anti-Islam to paint a target on their back.

In this list, Md Zubair also included the names of CM Yogi Adityanath, MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar, and Dr. Udita Tyagi, the complainant in this case.

“After this list, I continuously received death threats on social media, for which I filed a complaint. Zubair did not stop at just the provocative tweets, on the 5th at 11:08, he again posted a clip of some live speech of Maharaj Ji by cutting it and inciting people,” the complaint in the FIR states.

It added, “This person did not stop here, at 12:38, he again posted a clip of some old video of Maharaj Ji by cutting it. After this, this post was a complete thread in which some edited clips from Maharaj Ji’s old speeches and videos were posted.”

On the night of 4th October, Dasna Devi temple was attacked by thousands Islamic fundamentalists. Despite this, Zubair did not stop and the next day he tried to provoke people by cutting small clips, the FIR mentioned.

It is also mentioned in the FIR, that Zubair earlier provoked mobs by posting clipped video of then BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma due to which 8 innocent people lost their lives.

The FIR added, “On the 4th, Pujya Maharaj ji and I were present in the temple along with hundreds of people who narrowly escaped death at the hands of mob he incited.

This person continuously spreads hatred against Hindus and provokes fundamentalists through his provocative posts. FIR should be lodged against him today itself and action should be taken otherwise the lives of many more Hindus can also be in danger”.

From Uttar Pradesh to Maharashtra, Islamist mobs not only took to the streets against Yati Narsimhanand but also raised provocative slogans. On Friday night (4th October), a mob suddenly gathered outside the Dasna temple accusing Yati Narasimhanand Giri of making objectionable statements against Prophet Muhammad. Earlier, Islamists mob had also resorted to violence against Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj of Maharashtra.
