Modi meets Albanese in US

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese met in Wilmington on the sidelines of Quad summit and discussed ways and means to strengthen partnership between the two countries.

“Held extensive discussions with PM Albanese. We seek to add even more momentum in areas like trade, security, space and culture. India greatly cherishes the time-tested friendship with Australia,” Modi posted on X after their meeting.

 

The Australian leader, appreciating the gesture, said he was delighted to have talks with the India’s Prime Minister.
“Great to talk with Prime Minister @narendramodi today at the Quad Leaders Summit about ways to strengthen our partnership,” he said in another comment on the social media platform.

Modi is on a three-day US visit to attend a number of meetings, including Quad Leaders Summit, and meet political leaders and people from others walks of life.
