A mysterious explosion jolted the area behind the Israel embassy in central Delhi on a Tuesday evening, sending shockwaves through intelligence agencies and the local police.
Thankfully, there were no casualties, but the incident raised concerns as a letter was discovered at the scene, threatening retaliation and revenge. The letter, aimed at the Israeli ambassador, contained phrases expressing resistance to Zionists and references to Palestine and Gaza, according to a senior police officer.
This low-intensity blast occurred just a day after the assassination of Brigadier General Sayyed Razi Mousavi, a high-ranking member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), in Damascus.
Despite the proximity in timing, the Delhi police did not immediately draw a connection between the two incidents. Mousavi was closely associated with Qassem Soleimani, the head of the IRGC’s elite Quds Force, who lost his life in a US drone attack in Iraq in 2020.
Investigations into the Delhi blast are ongoing, and while no improvised explosive device (IED) was found, investigators are exploring the possibility that it might have been a low-intensity blast triggered by chemicals.
The Israel foreign ministry spokesperson acknowledged the incident, stating that an explosion occurred near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi, about 100 meters from the embassy itself.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are now under investigation by local authorities, with full cooperation from Israeli security forces. Upon receiving a call about the blast, Delhi Police and fire officials swiftly responded, dispatching several teams to the scene. Forensic experts, along with the special cell and the national investigation agency, also joined the effort.
A police spokesperson detailed the response, mentioning the sensitivity of the location and the reported explosion sound, prompting senior officers and specialized teams to conduct a thorough search of the area. The only eyewitness to the incident was a security guard on duty. According to his account to reporters, the event occurred a little after 5 pm, and he heard a loud noise resembling a bursting tire.
Upon investigation, he noticed smoke emanating from the top of a tree. The police have recorded his statement as part of the ongoing inquiry. It’s essential to note that this explosion in New Delhi happened amidst the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza, which has resulted in significant casualties. In response to the incident, the police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) and established a special team to delve into the case further.
As the investigation continues, more details are expected to emerge regarding the nature of the explosion, its possible connections to geopolitical events, and any individuals or groups involved in the incident. The situation remains fluid, and authorities are working diligently to unravel the mysteries surrounding this unsettling event.
If these events continue to happen it will be bad for the country’s image as Israel is an ally and if our allies are not safe in the country then it will be a very embarrassing moment for India on the global front. Moreover, it will have direct implications like trade restrictions and capital movement restrictions across middle eastern and Jewish regions of the world.
Tight security and regular investigations are expected from the Delhi police and CBI if they want to protect India’s image and maintain friendly relations with Israel. Israel is not only a friend but also a major trade partner of India, Israeli government has always stood for India on the global matters and has helped India wherever it was required. As of now we know that threat looms over the world due to recent wars and too much hatred between people of different cultures, it’s the time when we keep our allies safe and help them wherever we can. We hope that the security forces will keep a safeguard and tighten the security.

Have you observed the narrative being crafted by the attackers, intending to disseminate their agenda globally? The relationship between India and Israel transcends mere geopolitics; it represents a pivotal alliance. Israel isn’t just a friend but a critical trade partner, consistently aligning with India on various global issues.
Post 2014, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has witnessed a substantial upswing in geopolitical relations, particularly with nations like Israel. Benjamin Netanyahu, the current face of Israel, stands as a significant ally, extending support to India across multiple domains. If anti-India forces succeed in tarnishing India’s image as an unwelcome place for Israelis, it could strain one of our most trusted geopolitical alliances. This, undoubtedly, will have repercussions on the economic ties between the two nations. Hence, it’s imperative that we comprehend these dynamics and respond judiciously.
