Case filed by Kerala Police against Minister Chandrasekhar over Hamas expose

FIR Against Rajeev Chandrasekhar: Looks like Kerala Police is not very keen on sharing the actual details of the recent attacks on Jehovah’s Witness community in Kerala. This is why they allegedly filed an FIR at the behest of the current government against Union Minister of State for IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar. But what was the reason?

In the wake of the Ernakulam blast on 29th October, a war of words erupted between Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. It started when Chandrasekhar criticized Kerala CM for not acting tough on calls for Jihad by Hamas terrorists and the mindset of killing, which resulted in the bomb blasts.

Following the incident, he posted on X, “Dirty shameless appeasement politics by a discredited CM (and HM) Pinarayi Vijayan besieged by corruption charges. Sitting in Delhi and protesting against Israel, when in Kerala open calls by Terrorist Hamas for Jihad is causing attacks and bomb blasts on innocent Christians.”

The decision to file an FIR against Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar has ignited a political firestorm. The question that lingers is why the Kerala Police, allegedly at the behest of the state government, would take such a drastic step against a Union Minister.

The turmoil began with the Ernakulam blast that occurred on the 29th of October. In the aftermath of the incident, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar openly criticized Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He accused the CM of not taking a strong stance against calls for Jihad by Hamas terrorists and the mindset that led to the bomb blasts.

Chandrasekhar’s criticism was vocalized on a public platform: “Dirty shameless appeasement politics by a discredited CM (and HM) Pinarayi Vijayan besieged by corruption charges. Sitting in Delhi and protesting against Israel, when in Kerala open calls by Terrorist Hamas for Jihad is causing attacks and bomb blasts on innocent Christians.”

The situation escalated on the following day, the 30th of October, when a verbal confrontation unfolded between the Union Minister and the Kerala Chief minister. Pinarayi Vijayan threatened to take legal action against those who make statements violating the law, regardless of their political stature. This threat seemed to have prompted the Kerala Police to file a case against Minister Chandrasekhar.

In response to the FIR, Rajeev calmly retorted, “So the two INDI alliance partners, Rahul Gandhi and Pinarayi Vijayan, have jointly filed a ‘case’ against me. Two of the biggest appeasers in Indian politics who shamelessly appease poisonous radical violent organizations like SDPI, PFI, and Hamas, whose politics have caused radicalization over decades from J&K to Punjab to Kerala and caused many innocent lives and security forces’ lives to be lost – trying to threaten me with a case for exposing their appeasement of Hamas.”

The incident has cast a critical eye on the actions and responses of both the Union Minister and the Kerala Chief Minister, sparking a contentious legal battle. The details surrounding the attacks on the Jehovah’s Witness community remain shrouded in uncertainty, and the political turmoil continues to brew in Kerala.
