The shamelessness of Indian liberals hits a new low!

The recent wave of terror attacks on Israel has shaken the world from its slumber. Israel is facing relentless bombings and terror assaults on multiple fronts. It’s a dire situation that has drawn condemnation from many prominent nations, including India, who have voiced their unwavering support for Israel during these trying times.

However, amid the global expressions of solidarity, there exists a disconcerting phenomenon: individuals who are celebrating these attacks, portraying Israel as an evil force that must be vanquished.

One such instance emerged when Israel declared an all-out retaliation against the attacks. Comrade Sitaram Yechury wasted no time lamenting the “oppression of Palestine” on Twitter. He called for the UN to enforce a halt to the violence and ensure the legitimate rights of Palestinians, including the withdrawal of Israeli settlements and the implementation of a two-nation state solution. While advocating for peace is commendable, it’s essential to remember that terrorism is never a legitimate means to an end.

Disturbingly, Sitaram Yechury seemed to almost justify the terror attacks by Hamas, citing the number of casualties, including children, as if these casualties somehow justified violence. Such a stance disregards the complexity of the situation and the need for peaceful resolution.

Another voice in this chorus of celebration is Sharjeel Usmani, known for his involvement in inciting unrest during protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He tweeted that it’s unsurprising that the Indian Hindu right-wing supports Israel simply because it opposes what Indian Muslims support. This kind of polarizing rhetoric does not contribute to productive dialogue and understanding.

Hartosh Singh Bal, the editor of Caravan, joined this divisive rhetoric by accusing the right-wing in India of reacting to the Israel-Gaza tragedy with glee, insinuating that their motivations are to target Indian Muslims. Such baseless accusations only serve to deepen divisions and fuel hostility.

Journalist Ali Sohrab chimed in with a message that seemed to glorify resistance, even in the face of violence. While it’s essential to empathize with the plight of Palestinians, glorifying violence is never the answer. Peaceful dialogue and diplomatic solutions should always be the goal.

Aasif Mujtaba, the founder of an organization that shelters illegal Rohingya immigrants, went so far as to label Israel a “terror nation” and claimed that Palestinians are subjected to daily humiliation. Such one-sided narratives fail to acknowledge the complex geopolitical realities at play and undermine the prospects for peace and understanding.

In these times of turmoil, it’s crucial to exercise restraint and promote constructive discourse. Celebrating violence, justifying terrorism, and resorting to divisive rhetoric only hinder the path to peace. It also goes on to prove how any nation, forget Israel or even Bharat, must be beware of such vultures, who find carnal pleasure in celebrating such destruction of human values!

The celebration of violence and the justification of terror attacks against Israel by certain individuals is deeply troubling. These actions and statements undermine the pursuit of peace and perpetuate a cycle of violence and hatred.
