Post Baahubali, it has been a steep downhill ride for Prabhas

Once upon a time, in the mystical land of Indian cinema, there emerged a hero who broke stereotypes and stole hearts with his charisma. His name was Prabhas Raju, but to the world, he was known as the mighty “Baahubali”! Oh, how the nation bowed in awe at his grandeur, but little did they know that his journey would soon take a steep downhill ride!

Fast forward to 2023, and the once mighty Prabhas is now a mere shadow of himself. Alas, since 2017, he has been desperately seeking a commercial success, but it seems the gods of box office fortune have turned their backs on him. It’s like his career graph took a detour to nowhere, leaving us all wondering, “What happened to our Baahubali?”

Recently, his much-anticipated film “Project K” teased us with an image of Prabhas that looked less futuristic and more like it got a little too friendly with Photoshop. Maybe they were going for a unique look, but it left us scratching our heads and muttering, “Um, is this for real?”

The post-COVID era has not been kind to Prabhas either. His career plummeted faster than Virat Kohli’s form in England . And the saddest part is, it seems like Prabhas doesn’t even care! Where’s the fiery spirit of Baahubali when you need it?

“Saaho” was not a disaster per se, but the box office collections did not match the colossal expectations set by Prabhas himself. We had hoped for a thunderous roar, but it felt more like a soft whimper. At least it didn’t sink like the Titanic, but it wasn’t exactly soaring like an eagle either.

Picture this: Your film has been the talk of the town for months, but then you get outdone by a film with a budget that’s a mere speck compared to your own. Ouch! Poor “Radhe Shyam” got beaten by “The Kashmir Files” of all things! That must have been a tough pill for Prabhas to swallow, no doubt.

And then came the much-anticipated collaboration with Om Raut, “Adipurush.” We all held our breath, but alas, the excitement fizzled faster than soda on a hot summer day. The announcement video was the only highlight, and the rest… well, let’s just say the less said, the better.

Oh, dear Prabhas, what path have you chosen? It’s like he’s taken the road less traveled, but instead of leading to greatness, it’s a path of self-destruction. Once the heartthrob of the nation, he’s now on par with Akshay Kumar on steroids (if that’s even possible!).

But fret not, dear Prabhas, for there’s always hope in the world of cinema! Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, he can still bounce back and claim his throne once again. Maybe he just needs a dose of Baahubali’s bravery and a sprinkle of charm to woo the audience once more.

Throughout the history of cinema, there have been many actors who faced ups and downs in their careers. It’s not uncommon for stars to experience a dip in their success rate after delivering a massive blockbuster. The pressure to follow up a monumental success like “Baahubali” is undoubtedly immense, and sometimes, even the most talented actors struggle to match the expectations.

The world of cinema is unpredictable, and one cannot discount the possibility of a resurgence. Prabhas has showcased his acting prowess and star power in the past, and it would be unwise to write off his potential for a comeback. Many of his contemporaries have faced similar career challenges but have managed to find their footing once again.
