Opposition’s new Mission: Make Modi PM Again!

PM Modi at G7: Everytime one thinks that the game is over for PM Narendra Modi, the opposition does something that makes us convinced that they’re more eager to see Narendra Modi as the PM for the third and consecutive time, more than PM Modi himself would be.

G7 Summit: PM Modi is isolated

Of late, PM Modi is on a roll. With several visits abroad, including the ones to the recently conducted G7 summit at Tokyo, and visit of PM Modi to Papua New Guinea, he is back to what he is best at: making India a diplomatic force to be reckoned with.

However, it seems that the Opposition has another reason to howl for. It all began with ex Prasar Bharati official and rabble rouser Jawhar Sircar, who carefully chose edited videos, to mock PM Modi for. The ‘gentleman’ tweeted, “Looks like our PM Modi is lonely and isolated at the G7 summit at the Hiroshima”.

However, he wasn’t alone. Senior Congress politician Jairam Ramesh also joined him in mocking the PM, as he tweeted, “Sadly nobody to hug”. The sentiments were echoed by turncoat politician and former cricketer Kirti Azad, who mocked the ‘absence’ of PM Modi from a group photo of the G7 summit.

However, the question remains, why are these folks so rattled? Probably the answer lies in the welcome speech of James Parape, who mentioned, “We have a shared history, the history of colonial masters. You [PM Modi] have emerged as a leader of the Global South. You are the 3rd big voice in the face of the Global North. We have been the victims of global power play, we want you [India] to be our advocate [at the G20 meeting]. We [Pacific nations] will rally behind you”.

 Why PM Modi is speaking in Hindi?

Wait a minute. James Parape? Doesn’t this ring a bell? Why wouldn’t he? He is the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, whose pics are going viral after he ‘broke the protocol’ to welcome the Indian PM in the most traditional way, by touching his feet to seek his blessings. Yes, you heard that right. A head of the state from a rather obscure nation went all the way forward to seek his blessings in a way none could have anticipated.

However, this isn’t the only reason the left liberal intelligentsia is aghast about. As PM Modi addressed the gathering, as well as some meetings in chaste Hindi, Aam Aadmi Party mocked his conduct, calling it unprofessional for an Indian PM.

To begin with, rabble rouser Saurabh Bharadwaj [the same guy who brought a demo model to prove that EVMs can been hacked] ranted about the importance of English, even as he tweeted in Hindi, “Does the PM not know that Hindi is not the language of Ukraine? This video is only meant to fool his bhakts?”

Nobody is luckier than PM Modi

You know why am I this confident that PM Modi will return with a bang in 2024? Because the Opposition knows their job well. In any other circumstances, an opposition party or the leader representing the same would have thought of better issues to attack the ruling dispensation with. However, going by the current antics, it seems that they don’t even wish to try.

We’re not kidding. The way seasoned politicians are making mountains of mole hills, only reminds one of the ways they made whirlwinds on the issue of Rafale. Despite having bit dust on the Hindenburg issue, with the SC appointed panel having cleared the Adani group, as well as the central government of any major charges, they just don’t seem to learn. It seems like even if BJP and PM Modi are not that enthusiastic about the upcoming general elections, the entire opposition be like, “That’s not fair. He has to come back!”
