Adipurush new poster: Are you familiar with Vijay Krishna Acharya, Dr. Chandprakash Dwivedi, and Om Raut? They were all once known for their excellent art and were involved in some very important projects. Unfortunately, two of their projects turned out to be very poor, and it seems that the third project is also headed down the same path. Adipurush new poster disappoints again
The new promotional material for Adipurush, released on the occasion of Ram Navami, has once again left audiences disappointed. Despite featuring most of the key characters, including Prabhas as Shriram, Kriti Sanon as Devi Sita, Sunny Singh as Nijar Laxman, and Devdutt Nage as Hanumanji, the new poster of Adipurush failed to offer anything new except for a mix of colours.
Critics argue that the same issues that plagued the film’s teaser are still present, such as the costumes of Shriram and the portrayal of Hanumanji’s personality. Essentially, the new poster of Adipurush feels like “old wine in a new bottle” – the same product in a new package.

Is this the same Om Raut?
Upon the announcement of the film’s release for 2020, it appeared as though Om Raut was set to compete with filmmakers like SS Rajamouli, having cast Prabhas in a unique role that no one has been able to match except for Arun Govil. However, it now seems that the initial promise shown in the announcement video was not carried through, as both the first teaser and the new poster of Adipurush suggest that the film will not be a masterpiece upon its release on June 16, 2023.
It’s pointless to address the film’s producer Bhushan Kumar on this matter, but it’s a disappointment to see Om Raut’s work fall short of expectations. While many people may not be aware, Raut had previously directed the Marathi film “Lokmanya: Ek Yugpurush” in 2015, which received multiple awards. He later directed “Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior” under Ajay Devgn’s leadership, overcoming numerous obstacles to produce a blockbuster hit that also won several national awards.
Given this track record, there was a sense of curiosity and hope surrounding Adipurush’s announcement, with the project’s claim to have employed never-before-seen techniques in Indian cinema. Unfortunately, the teaser for the film failed to live up to these expectations.

The inequality is intolerable
From the teaser to the new poster of Adipurush, almost 5 months have passed. During this period, even the most difficult tasks can be accomplished in filmmaking if there is a strong passion for the film and its original purpose. This was demonstrated by SS Rajamouli’s “RRR”, which also faced significant delays, though COVID-19 was also a factor.
However, when looking at Adipurush, it appears that the film has become a laughing stock, and no one is likely to find any inspiration from it. It’s not an easy task to portray Shriram in his original form, but at the very least, the film should not test the patience of the audience in the name of artistic vision. The poster has shown little room for improvement, and now the audience will have to wait even longer for a decent adaptation of the Ramayana.
