Rajkumar and Ayushmann ruined their careers with their own hands…

In the past, both actors had earned accolades for their performances.

The year 2012 marked a significant turning point for Bollywood, as two talented actors, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkumar Rao, emerged onto the scene. Despite lacking the backing of influential families, they relied on their skill and hard work to achieve success. However, today, both actors find themselves struggling to maintain their status in the industry.

Question mark on career

The COVID pandemic and public outrage following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death have intensified the already-tense atmosphere in Bollywood. While most actors faced a hit due to these factors, rising stars like Ayushmann and Rajkumar were not immune. It was an opportune moment for them to establish their place in the industry, but they failed to do so.

In the past, both actors had earned accolades for their performances and had garnered a massive fan following. They shared healthy competition while working together in Bareilly Ki Barfi, but Rajkumar stole the limelight with his portrayal of Pritam Vidrohi. However, since 2019, both actors have started prioritizing agenda-driven films over quality roles.

Their decision to focus on message-driven films has not worked in their favor. Their careers have not taken off despite their busy schedules in 2021 and 2022. Anubhav Sinha has played an important role in bringing their careers to this level, except for the exception of Article 15.

Who is to blame for the downfall?

Ayushmann and Rajkumar have lost their touch when it comes to selecting scripts that cater to their skills. They have become more focused on delivering a message rather than exploring their characters’ potential. Unfortunately, their recent films have not done well at the box office, leaving them with a question mark over their careers.

Ayushmann’s upcoming project, Dreamgirl 2, seems to suggest that he is not worried about his career’s direction. Meanwhile, Rajkumar is betting all his hopes on his upcoming film, Sri, which is based on the life of a blind industrialist. The future of these actors depends on their ability to choose quality roles over agenda-driven films. It is essential to focus on delivering top-notch performances rather than just a message.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkumar Rao have both had the potential to become Bollywood superstars. However, their recent performances have not lived up to the audience’s expectations, resulting in their careers stagnating. They must select their projects carefully, focusing on quality roles that showcase their acting skills. If they continue on this trajectory, they risk becoming another footnote in Bollywood’s history.
