Una Maa Chintpurni Temple – Guide
Maa Chintpurni Temple is a major pilgrimage site for Hindus located in the small town of Una in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Chintpurni Devi is the presiding deity here where she is shown as Pindi without head. It is believed that if a devotee prays to Mother Goddess with a sincere heart, then Chintpurni Devi takes away all his troubles and calamities.
Una Maa Chintpurni Temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths dedicated to Mata Sati. Here the mother is also called by the name of Chinnamastika Devi. Being situated on one of the highest peaks of the Sola Singhi range, this famous temple is also known for its beautiful surroundings and beautiful views.
History of this Temple
Maa Chintpurni Temple Dedicated to Goddess Sati Chintpurni Devi Temple According to history and legends, Chintpurni Devi Mandir was established about 12 generations ago by Pandit Mai Das ji, a Brahmin of the princely state of Patiala, in Chhaproh village. Over time this temple came to be known as Chintpurni Devi Temple. It is said that his descendants still live in this temple and worship Goddess Chintpurni.
Festival celebrated in this temple
There is always a festive atmosphere in the temple, but the Navratri festival is celebrated with much importance, gaiety and formality in the Chintpurni Devi temple. In which a large number of people from far and wide come to this place to seek blessings from the Goddess.
The fair is held near the temple of Goddess Bhagwati Chinnamastaka where the Mother Goddess appeared in a stellar form in ancient times. The fair is held three times a year in the months of March-April, July-August and September-October.

Una Maa Chintpurni Temple opens at 5:00 AM in the morning and close at 10:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 8:00 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 8:30 PM in the evening.
