Bhagwant Mann loves Amit Shah and the Sisodia Angle behind it

As they once said, nothing remains permanent in politics, neither alliance nor enmity. Now picture this: an unruly and insensitive student, often looked down upon in the school, suddenly becomes focused and attentive. Not only that, but the student also sees to it that nobody who violates the decorum of the school has the last laugh. In the current school of Indian politics, Bhagwant Mann is precisely that student.

Expect the Unexpected

It’s needless to say that the Centre gave its best shot at putting Amritpal behind bars. Interestingly, the Punjab administration also left no stone unturned to see that Amritpal does not roam scot free. Even as the Centre decided to transfer Amritpal to Dibrugarh jail in Assam, the Punjab government ensured that no bottlenecks arise in the entire process.

However, this is just the beginning. The Punjab administration, under the leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann, has cooperated with the Central Government in every sense of the word. Even the Central Government has acknowledged their efforts as Amit Shah lauded their efforts in a recent conference organized by India Today.

Coincidence, or?

However, one question continues to persist: Why is Bhagwant Mann so enthusiastic to cooperate with the Central authorities? Is it a mere coincidence, or is there more to it?

A couple of months ago, the very Bhagwant Mann behaved as if he was not the Chief Minister of the state of Punjab, but a supreme authority of a country named Punjab. However, with the Ajnala case, things ironically changed for the better, including Bhagwant’s attitude as well.

As mentioned before, everything, even anarchy, requires a certain degree of planning and some political support. However, in Amritpal’s case, there is no such luxury.

Is Kejriwal next?

Now the question arises: Why is Bhagwant Mann doing this? To what end? Also, how is the entire hullabaloo connected to Manish Sisodia?

While it’s true that people know Bhagwant more for his nonsense than his administration, but lest we forget, Bhagwant Mann is a CM of a complete state like Punjab and not a ‘pseudo state’ like Delhi. Somewhere down the line, Bhagwant must have perceived the fact that if he has to stay in power, he has to let go of his affinity for the Supreme Leader of AAP, Arvind Kejriwal.

If one has a keen eye, one would have noticed that when CBI summoned Kejriwal, and AAP leaders organized a massive protest outside the headquarters, Bhagwant was the one least interested. However, he is not the only one who has issues with Kejriwal.

Even though he might be incarcerated, Manish Sisodia is not the one to let Arvind Kejriwal go scot free. He was once his ‘right hand man’, and unlike people like Prashant Bhushan, Kumar Vishwas, Yogendra Yadav, to name a few, Sisodia has no alternative career to turn to. As such, to sum it up, Bhagwant Mann and Sisodia have a nemesis in common: Arvind Kejriwal. In this, Bhagwant’s affinity for the Modi govt. might come in handy.
