Haridwar Mansa Devi Temple – Guide
Mansa Devi Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Mansa at Har Ki Pauri in the holy city of Haridwar in the state of Uttarakhand. The temple is situated atop the Bilva Parvat on the Shivalik Hills, the southernmost mountain range of the Himalayas. Mansa Devi Temple is a Siddha Peeth. It is one of the three Peethas located in Haridwar, the other two being Chandi Devi Temple and Maya Devi Temple. The inner shrine has two deities, one with eight arms and the other with three heads and five arms. This is the main feature of this temple.
History of this Temple
Haridwar Mansa Devi Temple was built by Maharaja Gopal Singh of Mani Majra in 1811-1815 AD. After the construction of the temple, the number of devotees worshiping here gradually started increasing and later this temple became famous all over the country. The specialty of this temple is that snakes or nagas are worshiped only after worshiping Manasa Devi first.
On Ganga Dussehra, a special puja is performed at the Mansa Devi temple and a huge crowd of devotees gathers to participate in this puja. In some places, the goddess is worshiped on the day of Krishna Paksha Panchami as well.

Haridwar Mansa Devi Temple opens at 5:00 AM in the morning and close at 9:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 6:30 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 7:30 PM in the evening.
