Dakor Krishna Mandir – Guide
Krishna Mandir is located in Dakor city of Gujarat. This temple is also known as Ranchoddas Ji Temple. It is believed that the Ranchoddas Ji Temple was built here in 1722 AD. This place is counted among the sacred pilgrimage centres of the Hindus. There is also a story behind the naming of Dakorji’s Ranchhodji temple.
It is believed that there was a battle between Shri Krishna and Jarasandha. Then Shri Krishna fled away from the battle to save the lives of his followers and took refuge at this place. Due to this legend, the name of this temple was Ranchodji. This temple is built of white marble on the banks of the river Gomti. The upper dome is covered with gold.
Dakor Krishna Mandir Timings
Dakor Krishna Mandir opens from 6:00 AM to 12 Noon in the morning and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the evening. Morning aarti is performed at 6:45 AM in the morning and evening aarti is performed at 5:30 PM in the evening.

Gomti lake
There is Gomti Lake in front of Shriranchod ji’s temple. It is one furlong long and one furlong wide. This is at a distance of few kms away from this temple.
Makhanio Aaro
This place is on the banks of Gomti Sarovar. When Ranchhodji came to Dakor, he had eaten butter sugar candy from the wife of devotee Bodana here. This place is at a distance of about few kms away from this temple.
Laxmi Mandir
This temple is also on the banks of Gomti Sarovar. Shri Ranchod Raiji was in this earlier. After the arrival of Shri Ranchod ji in the new temple, the idol of Lakshmi ji was installed here. This temple is located at a distance of about few kms away from this temple.
It is said that the Lord himself had brought the bullock cart here by asking Bodana to sleep. On reaching here, the Lord woke up Bodana. This village is about few kms away from this temple.
Galteshwar
Galteshwar is 10 miles away from Dakor. About two miles away from here is the ancient temple of Galteshwar ji.
Tova
Towa is 21 miles away from Dakor. There are many pools of cold and hot water here. Opens water in someone. In some the water is temperate.

By Air- The nearest airport from Dakor Krishna Mandir is Ahmedabad airport which is at a distance of about 90 kms away from this temple. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services or taxi.
By Train- The nearest railway station from Krishna Mandir is Dakor Anand-Godhra Broad Line which is at a distance of about 33 kms away from this temple. From here you can easily reach this temple by using local transport services or taxi.
By Road- Roads to this temple are well connected with the other cities of the country so you can easily reach this temple by using your own vehicle or by any public buses or taxi from any part of the country.
